Some of Paris' songs have been included in the hymnals by a variety of churches including the United Methodist church and various Charismatic churches. In recent years, Paris has focused on recording new versions of some of her worship standards and writing new praise and worship music in contrast to contemporary Christian pop songs that she released the latter 1990s.
Her uncle, Loren Cunningham is the founder of Youth With A Mission, while her family started Ecclesia College in Elm Springs, Arkansas, where her brother Oren Paris III is president and father Oren Paris II is chancellor. Paris herself studied theology and sacred music, though she has claimed to have placed little emphasis in her formal studies on composition or songwriting. Beyond songwriting, she is the author of four books, three of which focus on contemporary Christian theology.
She and her husband Jack Wright have one child, Jack Paris Wright, born April 29, 2001.
Although widely associated for much of her career with Star Song Records, EMI switched her over to the Sparrow label in 1996, before her contract ended after 2003. In 2005, she switched to Michael Coleman's INO label.

Twila Paris Lyrics

We worship you, Eternal one
Savior and Lord, Forevermore
You are Messiah
Down on our knees, Bleeding as one
Together we pray, Your kingdom will come
In Heaven and Earth, Your will be done
Chorus:
Let your kingdom come (x3)
You are Messiah
Let your kingdom come (x3)
You are Messiah
Radiant hope, We long for you
Deep in our hearts, Your word is true
Be lifted up, In all we do
You are Messiah
(Chorus)
For all you are, All you have done
We worship you, Eternal one
You are the Lord, Forevermore
You are Messiah
Let your kingdom come (x7)
You are Messiah
Let your kingdom come (x3)
You are Messiah (x4)
The lyrics to Twila Paris’ song “Messiah” express devotion and reverence to Jesus Christ. The opening lines, “For all you are, All you have done, We worship you, Eternal one” highlight Christ’s authority and divine nature, as believers acknowledge that He is not only their Savior but also their Lord. The reference to Christ as Messiah is a proclamation of His anointing and fulfillment of ancient prophecies. This is further emphasized in the chorus, which implores God to let His Kingdom come, indicating the belief in Christ’s second coming as the ruling authority.
The second stanza speaks to the unity of those who believe in Christ, pledging to come together and pray for God’s Kingdom to come, both in heaven and on earth. The reference to “Bleeding as one” could be interpreted as an allusion to the communion of saints or to the suffering that believers may experience as followers of Christ. The third stanza emphasizes the longing for Christ in the hearts of believers and the importance of living in obedience to His teachings. Throughout the song, the repetition of “You are Messiah” reinforces the central message that Christ is the one true Savior and that His Kingdom will come.
