Twin Twin is the trio of twins Lorent Idir (singer, lyricist) and François Djemel (bass) (real surname Ardouvin), and beat boxer and guitarist Patrick Biyik. In their music slam meets rock and electro of 80's, with a twist of hip hop 2012, and more pop - they define it as slamstandupelectrorock. With this music Twin Twin pack concert halls, since on the stage they managed to create something really new. The Twin Twin experience is primarily in concerts, they have around 230 stage performances under their belt, including festivals Rock en Seine in 2010, Printemps de Bourges and Francofolies in 2011 and at Solidays in 2012. Lorent and François grew up in Montreuil. Passionate about cinema and music, they navigated between urban and classical culture. The twins began their artistic careers with cinema, working as camera assistants in Why Not Productions . Later François has served as bassist in various rock bands. Lorent was experimenting with slam music and writing, he published his first novel "Un nageur dans le ciel" in 2010. Regulars of Paris squats, twins Lorent and François were members of the collective "Black & White Skins" with Hindi Zahra, Hugh Coltman, Lippie, etc. They started their first band Spleen there. Later they formed slam band "Chimera" with witch have released a self-produced album "Un Cheval Sur Le Périphérique" in 2007. They met in Paris bar Patrick and liked his style, inviting him to move to their house in Montreuil and share the rent. So Twin Twin were formed. They became finalists of Zebrock in 2008 , they were discovered by Marie Audigier (ODJ Music) in a restaurant in 2009 and then things took off for Twin Twin, winning the contest "Lance-toi en live", allowing them to go on tour with BB Brunes and VV Brown. They won SFR Jeunes Talents Music award and were signed to Warner music, released in 2011 EP "By My Side" and in April 2013 first album "Vive la vie".

Moustache x6
I wanna have a moustache, a moustache
Moustache x6
I wanna have a moustache, a moustache
The song "Moustache" by Twin Twin is a playful satire of the materialistic and shallow life that some people lead. The song starts with the singer feeling like something is missing, but not knowing what it is. He is constantly seeking more and better things, stating that he dreams in dollars and wears a new suit every day. He lives in a lavish home with new and beautiful things, but is detached from the world outside and doesn't even know his own cleaning lady. The singer takes pride in his expensive car and designer cologne but doesn't like to show his emotions in public, reserving that vulnerability for the gym where he can pump iron.
Despite having everything he could ever wish for, the singer confesses that all he really wanted was a moustache. He repeats this desire throughout the chorus, highlighting the absurdity of his obsession with his facial hair. The back-and-forth of wanting and never being satisfied is a common theme throughout the song, and in the end, the singer realizes that even though he has everything money can buy, it's not enough if he doesn't have what he really wants.
Overall, "Moustache" is a fun and satirical song that pokes fun at our society's obsession with material things. It is a reminder that no matter how much we accumulate, we may still feel like something is missing.

Okay let's straighten something out.
The ALBUM containing this song was released April 17, 2013
Stromae's "PAPAOUTAI" was released in MAY 13, 2013
Stromae's ALBUM wasn't released until AUGUST 16, 2013.
So basically "Moustache" was released AN ENTIRE MONTH before PAPAOUTAI was released.
Now people are probably blaming this song because "Papaoutai" was more popular and nobody had even heard of "Moustache" at the time.
There is no way the could've plagiarized because the song wasn't even out. Unless they somehow heard it early which is unlikely. There wouldn't even be enough time to copy a song and put music and lyrics like that fast.
See here's another example. Had "Moustache" been really popular and "Papaoutai" had represented France in Eurovision 2014, people would be accusing that song of plagiarism. So there's that.

After listening to Papaoutai, I can say that the allegations of plagiarism might be true. There’s a LOT of similarities, and Twin Twin made their song a year after. Looks REALLY bad.
