Why do you always talk about
The wrong way in and the wrong way out?
It's only going to be as easy
As you make it for yourself

Talk, talk, talk
Don't you know where you want to go
Start something new
That you know where you want to go

What did I teach you
That money didn't know?
What have you learnt
Is by far it goes

They're my kids, you know
They're my kids, you know
They're my kids, you know
They're my kids, you know

What did I teach you
That money didn't know?
What have you learnt
Is by far it goes

They're my kids, you know
They're my kids, you know
They're my kids, you know
They're my kids, you know

I've been thinking of a way
To get out of what I have made
If only I could tell myself
To be a little more productive

Talk, talk, talk
Don't you know where you want to go?
Start something new
That you know where you want to go

What did I teach you
That money didn't know?
What have you learnt
Is by far it goes

They're my kids, you know
They're my kids, you know
They're my kids, you know
They're my kids, you know

What did I teach you
That money didn't know?
What have you learnt
Is by far it goes

They're my kids, you know
They're my kids, you know

They're my kids, you know
They're my kids, you know

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of "Kids" by Two Door Cinema Club/Musicfire.in can be interpreted in different ways, but one of the main themes is about taking responsibility for one's life and decisions. The opening lines, "Why do you always talk about the wrong way in and the wrong way out? It's only going to be as easy as you make it for yourself" suggest that the singer is frustrated with someone who keeps dwelling on negative aspects and possible mistakes. Instead, the singer encourages this person to take control of their life and make it easier for themselves.

The chorus of "Talk, talk, talk, don't you know where you want to go? Start something new that you know where you want to go" further emphasizes this idea of taking action and moving forward. The singer seems to be urging the person to stop talking or worrying and start doing something they know they want to do. The line "If only I could tell myself to be a little more productive" indicates that the singer has also struggled with productivity and taking initiative in their own life.

The repeated lines "They're my kids, you know" could be interpreted as a metaphor for the things or ideas that we create or are responsible for in our lives. The singer asks "What did I teach you that money didn't know? What have you learned is by far it goes" indicating that one's knowledge, skills, and experiences are more valuable than money. Overall, the song encourages listeners to take responsibility for their lives, focus on what they want to achieve, and overcome obstacles to achieve their goals.

+Nic Flay Holy Jesus. my story begins a few months ago. I Google tdcc because I wanted to see if there was any events happening nearby when I saw the songs tab. I clicked it and remembered about this song and listened to it. That was all about 2 or 3 months ago. Now present as in right now, I did the exact same thing but found out about their other demos, so I searched for them and listened to them on this persons YouTube account, I scrolled all the way from the bottom and started listening to the ones I've never heard before and I see this song again so I click it. it turns out it's the exact same video I liked 2-3 months ago. and why I tagged you on this is because those two bands-albums, I just fell in love with about a month ago. Those exact two bands.

@jordysanchez2815

+Nic Flay I would also recommend Young the giant.

@nicflay186
