Chris and Joe (classmates in college) had shared a monthly rehearsal space for a while. Mario (Joe's friend from high school) was writing songs with George. Mario and George (fraternity brothers in college) would stop by at Chris and Joe's rehearsal space from time to time, mostly playing selections from Weezer's 'Pinkerton' album.
Fitz grew up four doors down from Joe, and could play Robert Sweet drums like no one's business. Doug knew George from back in the day. Chris booked a show at Connections, even while the band was still nameless.
