Help Me
Tyler Lyrics
Take the ribbon from your hair
Shake it loose and let it fall
Dancin' soft against my skin
Like the shadows on the wall
Come and lay down by my side
'Til the early morning light
All I'm takin' is your time
Oh, help me make it through the night
I don't care who's right or wrong
And I don't need to understand
Let the devil take tomorrow
'Cause tonight I need a friend
Yesterday is dead and gone
And tomorrow's out of sight
It's so sad to be alone
Oh, help me make it through the night
I don't care who's right or wrong
And I don't need to understand
Let the devil take tomorrow
'Cause tonight I need a friend
Ooh, yesterday is dead and gone
And tomorrow's out of sight
It's so sad to be alone
Oh, help me make it through the night
Shake it loose and let it fall
Dancin' soft against my skin
Like the shadows on the wall
Come and lay down by my side
'Til the early morning light
All I'm takin' is your time
Oh, help me make it through the night
And I don't need to understand
Let the devil take tomorrow
'Cause tonight I need a friend
Yesterday is dead and gone
And tomorrow's out of sight
It's so sad to be alone
Oh, help me make it through the night
I don't care who's right or wrong
And I don't need to understand
Let the devil take tomorrow
'Cause tonight I need a friend
Ooh, yesterday is dead and gone
And tomorrow's out of sight
It's so sad to be alone
Oh, help me make it through the night

Well if you’re going to record a classic Kris Kristofferson song that’s been recorded in the past by Kris himself as well as Waylon Jennings, Donna Fargo and so many others you had better nail it and Tyler did just that! I’m almost 60 years old and I remember my daddy singing this song to my momma while dancing in the kitchen. Beautiful job!
@DiZoSoMom
That is such a beautiful memory. Thank you for sharing that 🤍
I just turned 40 and grew up spending weekends with my gpa in his “building” (aka his shed turned man cave). We would sit up until 2 or 3 am every Saturday listening to “country gold” on the radio. Hank Jr was always his fave, but I leaned toward the Highwaymen in their individual ventures.
Lost him a year ago. Such amazing memories. You just sent me on a trip down memory lane and I thank you for that. Have a wonderful night 🤍

Not gunna lie I thought it was a Waylon song. Should've known Kris wrote it he wrote everything good 😅

@fer706
I tell you what, loving older country music, he needs to cover “he stopped loving her today”. It would be absolute gold!
@june21stgem
That would be amazing!!!
@DiZoSoMom
