Why Do I Do?
Tyler James Lyrics
No no
Yeah Yeah
Every time I rise and fall
When I thought id seen it all
But my backs still up against the wall
First you was good to go
Then you turned around and said no no
And as I'm walking out the door
She said you love your life so well
Don't u go kiss and tell
It is heaven or is it hell
Say it ain't true
I'm just a sucker for you
Why do I do
I get on the same old rhymes
Why do I do
The things that I know ain't right
Why do I do?
I trip on the same old lines
Why do I do that to myself
Oh why
Here I go down this road again
Like a fool I keep jumping in
Must be all this punishment
But the days gonna come around
She'll be calling my name out loud
And the tables gonna turn around and ill say
You love your life so well
You'll feel the pain I felt
There ain't a hope in hell
Say it ain't so
But I'm helplessly hopelessly wrong
Why do I do
I get on the same old rhymes
Why do I do
The things that I know ain't right
Why do I do
I trip on the same old lines
Why do I do that to myself
Oh why
Back to front and front to back
The way she's got me tightly wrapped
Around her finger around her finger
Side to side and up and down
The way she got me spinning round
Falling down
I need her
I need her
I need her
Yeah
Who is it babe
I'll give her all I have
I know it bad but ain't no turning back
Why do I do
I get on the same old rhymes
Why do I do
The things that I know ain't right
Why do I do
I trip on the same old lines
Why do I do that to myself?
Oh why
Repeat to end
Yeah Yeah
Every time I rise and fall

KICK-ass song! It’s criminal that Tyler isn’t still recording and performing. He was so damned good! He just got fed up with the biz, and that was long before Amy Winehouse died. Go get his new book called “My Amy.” It’s wonderful - a brutally honest account of his life and his life with Amy, who was his lifelong bestie. He gets into both their addictions and how and why they were (platonic) soulmates. You will finally learn the truth about Amy. This is one strong, stand-up mate! I hope that one day he gets back to recording. I miss his voice!

Excellent book! I agree Janie, what a great song!

Can't believe so many people don't remember this! Seriously this song is the shit. Tyler James was my 2004/5. This has always been in my top 25 most played on my iPod!

If he released more music like this, he'd be a star. I love it, and this style is sort of coming back round (heart skips a beat)

Tyler James is dope. He is so different in a good way. An artist who understands his music and by watching him being so humble and laid back really made me becoming his number one fan. I am from Asia and I love Tyler James. You've got the voice, the look and the style. Love your vibe. I send my total support for this guy from Asia. I love watching all your music videos as well as The Voice. Amazingggggggg
