Yunho has secured his spot in TVXQ! through a dance competition in which he won first place. Prior to this, he accumulated some musical experience as a rapper and backup dancer for K-pop singer DANA. As a dancer, he accompanied many Korean singers, travelling to China as well. Jung debuted as U-Know Yunho (유노윤호). He chose his stage name as "U-Know" from his Korean name "Yun Ho"; U-Know is pronounced "You know" in English. However, it is meant to mean "Yunho 'Knows You'" in regard to the other members understanding him as their leader.

This is my favorite track from Noir, I love how velvety his voice sounds here. Yunho himself said that he listened to his haters (who said that his voice was too nasal) and actively adjusted the way he sings so as not to sound nasal. I love his voice either way, but there’s just something so sexy about his “new” way of singing. Yunho deserves so much more!

좋아한걸 후회하지 않게 늘 열정적인 모습 보여줘서 너무 고마워요
솔직히 아이돌 팬질이 마음이 식은 후 창피하지 않기가 쉽지 않잖아요. 사건사고도 너무 많고... 실망도 많이 하게되고.
연예계에 정말 많은 일들이 일어나는 와중에도 오빠는 늘 한결같더라구요. 내 10대를 지켜줘서 고마워요. 10대일때의 내가 정말 힘들었을때 오빠를 좋아하면서 버텼거든요.
실망을 안해본게 아니라 더더욱 오빠를 보면 늘 감동하게돼요. 가끔 생각나고 방송에서 보면 너무 반갑고. 늘 잘됐으면 좋겠고.
