Tad bit of a vent. TW, obviously.

These lyrics are brutal but they speak truth. Everything is a mess.
It's comforting yet it also disgusts me. I don't want to get into detail of what happened to me for personal reasons. But the whole concept of her wanting to "make papa happy" and apologizing is so relatable.
"Loving" your abuser may not make sense since they're the one that hurts you, but they're also the one that builds you back up... It becomes an addicting feeling.
If I behave well, I won't get hurt, and I'll be rewarded. The opposite would happen if there was ill behavior. That's the logic, in a sense (for me at least).
And she blames herself, "I'm such a bad girl."

This entire song is such a great representation of all the pain and sickness that is SA. As a victim, you can become so "twisted" from an outsiders perspective. A few people left me because of the situation I was in, because I was apparently disgusting.
Anyways, as the victim, I ended up wanting to always please my abuser. The praise and reward was the best. There were so many things I didn't want to do but followed along with anyways out of fear, submission, and wanting to please them.

If you read all that, don't worry, I'm out of the situation now. I love Kikuo. It is such an uncomfortable subject, but it is so important to talk about.

One tiny detail I noticed:
In Japan children are taught hiragana first to learn Japanese. The text when the song starts to begin; there is only one phrase written entirely in Hiragan and that is "I'm sorry" at 1:00 . The music credits are written in Kanji.
The girl also sings "I'm sorry, I'm sorry" during the entire song...so she might have written that.

Also, the collapsing belly is a metaphor. Some say it's her starving but when you are panicking, your belly goes up and down rapidly because you're breathing making it look like it's collapsing. Collapsing is also a way to say someone is dying very fast. She says her body is collapsing during the song, too. So it could be a metaphor for dying.

She(the main character of this song) screams at 0:52 but doesn't scream during the late and ending parts of the song. That scream was probably her screaming because her family was raping her.
Your voice goes down to a whisper if your throat is severely sore. It is prominent in drill instructors, they can yell so much they cough up blood.
However since the main character is not old (her voice sounds young and by the drawing, she looks young too.) her voice only goes down to a quiet pained whisper. Tie this in with the lyrics very much implying severe sexual abuse...........yeah...

If you remove the intrusmental from the song and get the vocals only, it sounds sad and cheerful at the same time. The intrusmental could represent the shock and gruesomeness of gang rape and the whole extreme of gang rape. Scat and pee fetishes are also mentioned in this song. So that would be very extreme to a girl who is going through this without any permission.

This song is about a young girl who is raped by her dad, what she means by "collapsing body" is that the rape is too much that it ruined her insides. This song is not about cannibalism, it is about child rape.

Her father is brainwashing her to believe that being raped and abuse is being "loved". One day she ran away from her father's house by going into her neighbors house, her neighbor is a boy.

The boy pitied her "collapsing body", so he took her in, soon enough they fell in love, the boy truly loved her, and the girl loved him too but she was confused she didn't know what "true love" means, she thought the boy hated her because the boy is not raping her or abusing her. She thought that being taken care of means they hate you.

So she run away and went back to her father's house to be loved again but as soon as she went back, her dad bought a few men in his house to gangrape her. The gangrape was too much for the young girl so unfortunately she died.

Edit: Just realize the boy tried to help her about the abortion at 2:25 . OMGosh why the fucking hell both of you guys didn't just live a happily life??? Why you comeback girl 😭😭

@Meatdeposity

So, i decided to being back into this song after not listing for so long, i remember when i was 14 and this was my jam, i didn't khow the lyrics but the isntrumental is just so powerful, some months later i learned the meaning behind it and feel disgusted, as i should be and didn't dared to listing it entirely after years, now i have 20 and i can appreciate with a different light: art is mean ti be grotesque, to disturb the comfort and making it comfortable.

By reading so many stories of SA suevivors in the comments who found comfort into their experiences.

To me, who sadly years later can understand their experiences by first hand.

And to the others, who can just vibe by a great work of disturbingly content, because is beautiful into the dark of what is.

Kikuo is a fucking genius and im until this day so greatful everytime i fond myself listing to their music.

The fact that the little girl in the song has it so abused that she thinks she's "bad" for not letting her dad abuse her made me sick... It's sad to think that there are cases like that in real life.

My god, I'm so sorry you had to go through this... I hope things are getting better for you these days.

@carlaxarts193

@@nat4713 people were saying in the comments it was miku who got abused?

@nat4713

@@carlaxarts193 Hatsune Miku's character itself was not abused, but in this song she sings in the role of a little girl who is abused.

Everybody talking about the soup, but why has no one mentioned the baked poop

@sugar7845

Ella.S. 113 it’s a metaphor.. the ‘straw’ is a metaphor for her fathers.. um.. lower body part, and the ‘eating’ her is a metaphor for how it feels to be manipulated into having sexual intercourse with her father, hence the ‘baked poop’ thing?? She was about nine years old in the storyline so she probably didn’t understand that she was being manipulated into both vaginal and anal intercourse-? Like?? I’m not exactly sure what the baking of her stool has to do with it but- uh.. yeah.

@Blankspace113

@@sugar7845 Yeah, it really is an explicit song with a lot of hidden meanings, and I was aware of all the dark symbolism, I was just surprised no one had brought it up hehe, thnx for the explanation tho! :)
