It’s an absorbing study of three generations of male rage and emotional disconnection.

'En resa för livet' (A Journey of Life) is a musical television documentary series in which viewers follow four Swedish songwriters and artists dedicated their life's journey into one of the world's poor areas. Andreas Carlsson, Lotta Engberg, Ulrik Munther and Kristin Amparo traveled to Rustenburg in South Africa. For two weeks, they met children living in vulnerable environments whilst actively participated in the SOS Children's Village work.
Ulrik Munther released together with friends the single 'Until We Meet Again' in January 2016. 'Dig A Little Deeper', Ulrik's solo single, was out at the same time.
Artists and distributor Sony Music will donate their royalties and proceeds to SOS Children's Villages. 'En resa för livet' was sent in spring 2016 by Swedish TV4.
In 2018, Ulrik ended his record label and manager, moved from Stockholm to Gothenburg to write, produce and release his music on his own. A bold and courageous decision but something that was crucial to Ulrik feeling happy and creatively satisfied.
The first hit that was independent was the single Before which was released in March 2018. The song has proven to be a statement that Ulrik manages to stand on his own legs and that as an artist you can succeed even without major record label giants flapping your neck.
Before was followed up in April by the EP Are you alright? and a smaller tour of the same name was made in Sweden and Norway. Last summer, some gigs were made, including a successful one at the Frizon Festival with his eminent band under the leadership of the chaplain Isak Nygren.
Ulrik does a few gigs this summer and chose GF as one of them. We are very happy about this. Welcome to the Gulbrannafestivalen, Ulrik Munther!

when you’re in it
when you’re in it
But then you fucked it all up
In just a minute
And now we’re finished:
I thought that you’d always be there
I would have followed you anywhere
Is just a memory in my head
I promise you this is the end
I am singing a requiem
You’re not gonna feel me again,
cause I’m singing a requiem
I’m still in love with your face
Though i hate it
Yeah I hate it
Just the thought of your lips
Makes me crazy, makes me crazy
You’re praying for forgiveness
You’re praying for forgiveness
You can pray for forgiveness
While I’m singing a requiem
There was so much you could say
So much you could do
But look away and hide in the truth
You trying to explain but I’m not a fool
No, no, no
I’m no fool for you
No
(2nd part)
You’re praying for forgiveness
You’re praying for forgiveness
You can pray for forgiveness
While I’m singing a requiem
While I’m singing a requiem
Ulrik Munther's song "Requiem" is a beautifully written ballad that conveys the pain and heartache of a love that has come to an end. The lyrics paint a picture of love as a beautiful place that can be enjoyed when two people are in it together. However, the song takes a sad turn as the lyrics describe how the relationship fell apart in just a minute. The singer reflects on the fact that everything they shared is now just a memory in his head, and he has no choice but to accept that the relationship is over.
Throughout the song, the singer remains conflicted as he admits that he is still in love with his ex-partner's face, but hates the thought of their lips. The lyrics suggest that the ex-partner is asking for forgiveness, but the singer has made up his mind that the relationship is over, and nothing can change that. The title of the song, "Requiem," gives the listener an insight into the mindset of the singer, as he sings a funeral song for the love that is now dead.
In conclusion, Ulrik Munther's "Requiem" is a powerful and moving song that captures the pain and heartache of a lost love. The lyrics speak to anyone who has ever experienced the end of a relationship and shows that love can be a beautiful but complicated thing.
