The flashing lights add to the aesthetics of the party and its environment

This line is hard to decipher and could be interpreted in multiple ways, but it seems that Francois is saying something about a certain kind of 'flash' that cannot be done

The person doesn't stop and is having a great time with the sure knowledge that this is a great party

The person goes out of the party to the parking lot

And you get in your car and you drive real far
The person drives a long way in their car

And you drive all night and then you see a light
The person drives all night and then they see a light in the sky

And it comes right down and lands on the ground
A UFO or spaceship lands on the ground

And out comes a man from Mars
An alien comes out of the UFO or spaceship

And you try to run but he's got a gun
The person tries to run away, but the alien has a gun

And he shoots you dead and he eats your head
The alien shoots and kills the person and then possibly eats their brain

And then you're in the man from Mars
The person is transformed into an alien or has become one with the alien

You go out at night, eatin' cars
The person, who may now be an alien, eats cars at night

You eat Cadillacs, Lincolns too
The car eating doesn't discriminate by car brand or model and will eat anything

Mercury's and Subaru's
The person eats Mercury and Subaru cars as well

And you don't stop, you keep on eatin' cars
The person or alien doesn't stop eating cars

Then, when there's no more cars
When there are no more cars to eat

You go out at night and eat up bars where the people meet
The person or alien now eats bars where people go to party and socialize

People are now dancing very close, face to face

People are interacting on a personal level, one on one

People are dancing so close that their toes are touching

The alien doesn't like slow dancing and might eat someone who is moving too slow

The alien is tired of eating cars and is now eating bars

The person is describing how the alien is eating up everything in the environment, from walls to doors to halls

The alien is focused on eating everything in its path

The person is encouraging others to freely dance and enjoy themselves

The person is encouraging everyone to blast off in joy and without any inhibitions

'Cause the man from Mars stopped eatin' cars and eatin' bars
The alien has stopped eating cars and bars, and is now focused on enjoying the music and dancing

And now he only eats guitars, get up!
The person is now excited because the alien is only eating guitars, which means they can rock out and enjoy themselves without fear of getting eaten
