Electronic Battlefield so true. I wonder why that was? I know the momentary lapse of reason tour footage was all shot on film at Gilmour’s insistence, there must be a reason. Maybe cost? I’ve heard David say in an interview that pulse barely broke even after all the crew and promoters, equipment haulers were paid. Which must be a ton of money to put on a tour like that.

Hundreds of people doing the construction alone. They really should have spent that extra quarter on film.

After 3 tours in Desert Storm, I was a complete wreck. Nothing made sense back home, and I felt that nothing I could do would ever atone for the sins of my past. That's when I discovered this band and this song. It spoke to me like nothing else ever had in this world. I listened to it every night to go to sleep. It kept the nightmares at bay. 1 year today, i felt the warmth slowly leave my dads hands, while calling for him and to say i loved him. We watched and listened to all our favourite pink Floyd songs together, it was the last thing we did together. But it was really this music that really started our bond together as father and son. We were even at this concert in earls court. The live versions of pink Floyd are for me always better than studio release. Listen to a production manager version and you get a sub par track. Listen to a musician like David free on stage and you hear to a masterpiece.

I’ve been listening to them since 1979. I was literally blessed to be invited the first ever Pink Floyd concert in ‘87. (Delicate Sounds of Thunder). I can honestly say it wasn’t a concert. It was a profound soul shaking experience. Then saw them again in 1994 at Joe Robbie Stadium.
I’m so sorry you could not have experience the Floyd. I believe the only thing better than to be at a live Pink Floyd experience, is to be able to look into the eyes of God.

I didn't like this song that much when I first heard it 20 or so years ago. I thought it was one of the weaker tracks on the album. Oh my, how it has grown on me. It's so good! I love it. 12 years ago, attempted to take my own life. spent the next 5 years locked in my own room, not leaving even to eat, pee or shit when someone else was in the house. Waiting..."While the days slipped by from my window watching"... everyday i was "Lost in thought and lost in time " everyone moving on around me, things growing people coming and going from the family...and there I was "While the seeds of life and the seeds of change were planted, Outside the rain fell dark and slow..." I remember those days, they hurt so much, oh my, they were hell on earth, depression is not sadness, way worse, the despair of the great nothing that this entire fucking place is. I had no idea what i was doing in this planet. I still do not. "While I pondered on this dangerous but irresistible pastime" but hey, I DO NOT GIVE A FUCK ANYMORE.
