Think It Over
Uriah Heep Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I've taken just too much
I've made a big mistake
That put me out of touch
I don't think I can face
Another single day
Without a call from you
So many tears ago
You turned and walked away
It could've been the end
But I knew better
I had to tell myself
There'll be another day
She wants to call it quits
But don't you let her
Can't you see
There's a chance for you and me?
Think it over, don't believe
In the things that may not be
Think it over
Why don't you think it over?
Forgetting you is out
I ain't givin' in
The fuss was down to you
But it's not over
You have to face the truth
I'm still in love with you
I have to make you see
That it's not over
Can't you see
There's a chance for you and me?
Think it over, don't believe
In the things that may not be
Think it over
Why don't you think about it, babe? Yeah
Can't you see
There's a chance for you and me?
Think it over, don't believe
In the things that may not be
Think it over
Can't you see
There's a chance for you and me?
Think it over, don't believe
In the things that may not be
Think it over
Can't you see
There's a chance for you and me?
Think it over, don't believe
In the things that may not be
Think it over
Can't you see
There's a chance for you and me?
The song "Think it Over" by Uriah Heep is a message from the singer to his former lover. The song appears to be a plea for a second chance in a relationship that has gone sour. The lyrics describe the singer's desperation and yearning for his former lover, stating that he cannot face another day without hearing from her. He acknowledges that he made a mistake that caused their separation and is determined to make it right. Even though she walked away from him, he believes there is still hope and they should both think about the possibility of reconciling. He urges her not to give up entirely, as there is still a chance for them to salvage their relationship.
The singer also emphasizes that he is still in love with his former lover and he is not giving up on her. He encourages her to face the truth, suggesting that the real problem in their relationship was her. The chorus repeats many times, It's a call to action for the former lover to think it over and not believe in things that may not be. The song ends on an optimistic note, with the singer convinced that there is still a chance for their relationship to work.
