No veterans who want care attend VA services. We only attend to continue the fight of what we are supposed to get in hopes of a changed systems.
Most of us do not trust VA services. If they do they are probably an older school vet 🤷♀️

There are lies on my medical records. Misdiagnosis for the sake of gatekeeking and not allowing vets get their disability compensation is the name of the game. Third world treatment with meds only. Even surgeries are performed at lower standards. No formulary meds, generics only.
Delays for getting medical care has resulted in many vets passing before receiving this meager entitlement.
How can staff be happy knowing this is the case? Just look up what they say once they leave the VA... it's on YouTube.
I left out much here for brevity.
Other major problems are phone system, software issues everywhere, VBA and raters, ... plus no attorneys to sue the VA for malpractice because VA doesn't pay like other sectors.

I proudly worked for the VBA for 30 years, until I was pushed into early retirement. Used to be a claims assistant I and worked on C & P claims mainly. Been retired now for 3.5 years and I use the VAMCS for my healthcare needs, and I am most appreciative that I can go there. During the pandemic we all went through, it was very difficult and hard to get care in several specialized areas that I need care in. Still waiting on some exams to be done ; still in spite of the problems that the VAMCS has, I think it does a fine job. The VBA has changed since I retired though in ways I don't recognize nor understand.

The LVN LPN are the ones doing ordered treatments and ones Veterans remember. They appreciate us. We notice and respond to Veterans needs, and put in place actions. Please 🙏 recognize this too! Edited just to say the pay is 27 percent less then the National private sector in your area.. the TSP is good, get your money later rather then now.
