The implied statement is "this is my strong hand" when he said "the other hand isn't strong enough". It doesn't make as good of a quote and isn't as succinct so you remember it differently. He also mentions his "strong hand" in another scene so that gets melded with this one. People seem to be confusing this scene with a different scene earlier in the movie where he mentions his "strong hand". People end up mixing the two scenes of dialogue together and that's causing a mandela effect where they swear that they remember that this scene had a line that says "take my strong hand".

It's kind of like the "Luke, I am your father" scene in Star Wars where he actually says "No. I am your father" which probably came about because of the scene in Tommy Boy where Chris Farley is talking into throw fan so his voice sounds deeper and robotic like Darth Vader and he says "Luke, I am your father" and then people started messing it up and then it just became completely misquoted as it became a large part of popular culture

He mentioned "strong hand" at the beginning when they arrived at house, to use it to carry the bags, thats why our brain knew that hand as his "strong hand", and automatically connected it to this scene... But this is correct, take my little hand... I had to watch that movie again, and i have .mkv file burned on CD (piracy back in the day 😅) like same year movie was out, so nothing was changed.
