The group's name is an abbreviation for "VIVId dayZ", which brings together the concepts of "clear, intense, and days" and signifies that the group will become artists who confidently express their colors in the world. The Korean pronunciation is "bi-bi-ji", that refers to the names of the members: Eunha (Jung Eun-bi), Sinb (Hwang Eun-bi) and Umji.
On February 21, Mnet revealed that the group would be participating in their reality show Queendom 2, which began airing on March 31. The group released "Red Sun!" for the final mission to release an original song for the show.

갠적으론 비비지의 환상 무대가 퀸덤2라는 이름 하에 자극적인 것만 찾던 엠넷을 참교육 시켜 준 무대 같아서 통쾌했음.
각자 개성이 너무 다른 그룹들인데 굳이 순위를 매기는 것도 무리수이고 순위를 정하려면 누구보다도 공정한 심사기준이 필요한데 엠넷은
공들여 힘들게 준비한 무대를 제대로 평가 해 줄 전문가는 없고 현장 직관한 감성 충만 팬덤들에 의해서 순위가 결정되는 말도 안되는 짓을 함.
실력과 상관없는 평가단의 견제표는 덤이고 평가기준이 결국 누가 더 자극적인 무대를 했냐에 따라 순위가 결정이 남.
현장평가단에 임팩트를 주기 위해서는 좀 더 섹시해야 했고 위험한 공중 곡예도 해야 했고 웅장하고 카리스마 넘치는 걸크러쉬는 필수로 해야 했고
억지 눈물샘까지 자극해야 했음.

A strong and hard performance may just lose itself in the crowd while this stands out more.
Always have a feeling that this stage also tells of a story from their transition from GFriend to VIVIZ.

When I listen to Red Sun for the first time I knew they wouldn’t win with that song because everybody are into Girl crush concept right now, but Viviz didn’t care and they performed the song they loved since a long time ago, and that’s what I think is the most important.
