Vampire Rodents' last recodings were made in 1997 when Vahnke was working on a follow-up to Gravity's Rim. Legal issues with Fifth Colvmn Records unexpectedly halted activity and the project was put on hiatus. After over a decade of inactivity, Daniel Vahnke officially announced his musical retirement and the project's abandonment in 2009. In 2016, Vahnke established an official youtube page titled Rodentia Productions and began issuing unreleased material.

Say Goodbye!
The lyrics to Vampire Rodents' song "Lullaby Land" are filled with nonsensical phrases and obscure references that can be difficult to fully understand. The song opens with "Incomprehensible speech" and the phrase "cortex sparkin'," suggesting a scrambled brain and a sense of confusion or disorientation. "Misfirin'," and "Polyara" further reinforce this disjointed feeling.
The lyrics then shift to "Taxiana lit-coast descending," which could potentially refer to a place name or a descent into chaos. The line "Sunrise all night, in flame, explode" seems to suggest a sense of chaos or destruction, followed by the repeated phrases "Fun house, Freak-out, insane" and "Fun house, Mad house, Freak-out." The repetition of these phrases implies a frenzied atmosphere, perhaps evoking the chaotic atmosphere of a carnival or amusement park.
The words "De-rail" are repeated multiple times throughout the song, adding to the sense of chaos and disconnection. The title phrase "Lullaby Land" is also repeated multiple times, serving as a kind of refrain. The mention of a dragon adds to the surreal and nonsensical nature of the lyrics, as does the final phrase "And if that mocking bird don't sing..."
Overall, the lyrics to "Lullaby Land" suggest a surreal and chaotic landscape characterized by confusion, disorientation, and a sense of frenzy or insanity.
