The Walk
Various - Radio Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
To find your place and time
Loose yourself and then see what you find
These simple things are the key to everything
What were you thinking
There she goes she's left here once again
And the words that you say
Are just tiny little pieces of the game
Why do you let them around
I don't know
Grabbed my things and I'm gone
Away from here
Is where I need to be
And the words that you say
Are just tiny little pieces of the game
Are you ever gonna find your wasted life
Ever gonna find this wasted time
These are the things that are always said
Take one second to try it out
And you might find what life's about
But try me again and I'll walk away
Are you ever gonna find your wasted life
Ever gonna find this wasted time
These are the things that are always said
Take one second to try it out
And you might find what life's about
But try me again and I'll walk away
And I'll walk
I'll walk away
And I'll walk
I'll walk away
These lyrics seem to convey a theme of self-discovery and the desire to break free from negative influences. The first verse encourages the listener to explore different perspectives and experiences on the "other side of life." It suggests that by letting go of preconceived notions and opening oneself up to new possibilities, one can uncover the key to everything. It questions the motivations and intentions of others, emphasizing the importance of surrounding oneself with genuine and supportive people.
The chorus expresses frustration with the repetitive nature of interactions and the superficiality of the game being played. It implies that the words spoken by others hold little value and are just pieces of a game that serves no true purpose. It criticizes the presence of "stupid people" and questions why the listener allows them to be a part of their life.
The second verse continues to emphasize the idea of wasted time and a wasted life. It suggests that these are common things that are often said but not truly understood or acted upon. It urges the listener to take a moment to try something new and possibly discover the true meaning of life. However, it warns that if someone tries the singer's patience again, they will walk away, indicating a desire for independence and a refusal to be dragged down by negativity.
The repetition of the phrase "I'll walk away" in the last lines of the lyrics reinforces this theme of breaking free. By walking away from toxic influences and negative situations, the listener seeks to find their own path and create a meaningful life. It implies a sense of empowerment and determination to find something greater beyond the wasted time and empty words.

I have Leslie Sansone's 1- 2 mile 4 mile & 5 mile DVD's. She is the real thing and walking with her really works. I lost about 7-9 pounds in 10 days. You have to watch what you eating too. If you stick with it and hang in there with Leslie and the whole gang. You will see results and you will feel better. I am living proof of that so keep walking. Walk, just walk.
