The term Various Artists is used in the record industry when numerous singers and musicians collaborate on a song or collection of songs. Most often on Last.fm, compilation album tracks appear under the name of Various Artists erroneously because the individual artist is not listed in the album's ID3 information.

Sometimes, single releases may be credited to Various Artists when their profits are going to charity and, usually in high-profile cases, are sometimes known by a group name. Examples include Band Aid with their releases of Do They Know It's Christmas? and USA for Africa with We Are The World.
Various Artists is also an actual performance name for Torsten Pröfrock, who runs the German DIN label. Torsten performs also as Dynamo, Erosion, Resilent, Traktor besides some others. He's a good friend of Robert Henke and since the Fall of 2004, he is a member of Monolake.
Various Artists was also a short-lived Bristol punk band formed by brothers Jonjo and Robin Key (originally from Birmingham). Other members were also simultaneously in Art Objects who went on to become The Blue Aeroplanes, the latter the Key brothers also co-wrote some songs and were involved in. When Various Artists imploded, the Key brothers went on to form Either / Or.
Various Artists also appear on tracks from musical theater soundtracks, due to the nature of having many cast members on one song, as well as an ensemble in some cases.

This is when i prey to the higher power..
This when i give thanks for everything that i have recieved in my life..
From the hell that i went through for 3 years of being incurably sick, with no friends, to my girlfriend that left me, to loosing my career, to loosing all my money, to only wanting to leave this world of dispair and deep depression behind to finally being in the great place of where i am now is truely a miracle..
I am healthy, strong, in my career of my dreams, with a great girlfriend with good friends and so on..
I am thankfull that i stayed the course and didnt kill myself.
I learnd that one can rise up from the depths of hell and darkness with hope, gratitude, determination and work.
My journey is not done. So as of tnite i listen to this ambient sound while i visualize what i want out of this life..
What i want out of this mortal world..
Peace, prosperity, exploration, wisdom, joy and achievement in every aspect of life. To help others as well as myself..
In romance, career, friendships, health and all other relationships.

In this video, I tried to create a mysterious and charming atmosphere of a cozy place in a deep forest. There are quite a lot of textures in the composition, which I created using the sounds of various acoustic instruments, Tibetan bowls and synthesizers. There are also various airy vocal phrases, and unobtrusive nature sounds. I hope you like the result!

My Dad died in a car accident with me. I went homeless soon after. This music reminds me of the nights I’d cry so hard for him sitting in the front seat of my car. After awhile I’d stop crying and I’d be at a state of peace just daydreaming about seeing him again. Remembering the past together. We loved to travel. I loved thinking back to memories of us driving or seeing new places. This music helps bring his memories back for a moment, it allows me to feel him. I miss my Dad.
