The term Various Artists is used in the record industry when numerous singers and musicians collaborate on a song or collection of songs. Most often on Last.fm, compilation album tracks appear under the name of Various Artists erroneously because the individual artist is not listed in the album's ID3 information.
Compilation albums, for example.
Sometimes, single releases may be credited to Various Artists when their profits are going to charity and, usually in high-profile cases, are sometimes known by a group name. Examples include Band Aid with their releases of Do They Know It's Christmas? and USA for Africa with We Are The World.
Various Artists is also an actual performance name for Torsten Pröfrock, who runs the German DIN label. Torsten performs also as Dynamo, Erosion, Resilent, Traktor besides some others. He's a good friend of Robert Henke and since the Fall of 2004, he is a member of Monolake.
Various Artists was also a short-lived Bristol punk band formed by brothers Jonjo and Robin Key (originally from Birmingham). Other members were also simultaneously in Art Objects who went on to become The Blue Aeroplanes, the latter the Key brothers also co-wrote some songs and were involved in. When Various Artists imploded, the Key brothers went on to form Either / Or.
Various Artists also appear on tracks from musical theater soundtracks, due to the nature of having many cast members on one song, as well as an ensemble in some cases.

She said, I had it comin' to me, but I wanted it that way
I think that any love is good lovin'
So I took what I could get
She looked at me with big brown eyes
And said, "You ain't seen nothin' yet"
B-b-baby, you just ain't s-s-seen nothin' yet
B-b-baby, you just ain't seen n-n-nothin' yet
"Nothin' yet you ain't been around", that's what she said
And now I'm feelin' better, 'cause I found out for sure
She took me to her doctor and he told me of a cure
He said that any love is good love
So I took what I could get, yes, I took what I could get
And the she looked at me with big brown eyes
And said, "You ain't seen nothin' yet"
B-b-baby, you just ain't seen n-n-nothin' yet
Here's something, here's something
You're never gonna forget, baby
You know, you know, you know you just ain't seen nothin' yet
You need educated, you gotta go to school
Any love is good lovin'
So I took what I could get, yes, I took what I could get
And then, and then, and then
She looked at me with big brown eyes
And said, "You ain't seen nothin' yet"
Baby, you just ain't seen nothin' yet
Here's something, here's something
Here's something, mama, you're never gonna forget
Baby, baby, b-b-baby, you just ain't seen n-n-nothin' yet
You ain't been around
"You ain't seen nothin' yet", that's what she told me
She said, "I mean it"
I know I ain't seen nothin' yet
I know I ain't seen nothin' yet
The song "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" by Various Artists is a rock song about a man who falls for a woman who takes his heart away. He meets a devilish woman who tells him that he had it coming to him, but he wanted the love that he received. The chorus repeats the phrase "You ain't seen nothin' yet" as a way of building up the excitement for what's to come. The woman tells the man that he needs to be educated in what good love is and takes him to a doctor who tells him that any love is good love.
The lyrics are about the thrill of falling for someone and experiencing a love that is addictive and exciting. The use of repetition in the chorus emphasises the excitement and energy that is associated with a new love. The idea that any love is good love suggests that the man is willing to take whatever he can get, regardless of the consequences. However, the song is ultimately about the experience of falling in love, which can be both thrilling and addictive.

Charts today are crap. But there is good music out there. You have to dig for it.
There is one reason why new songs have a hard time to compete:
you don't have good memories and good feelings (yet) to the new songs.
If you open your heart to give the new music a chance you may like it.
If you like rock'n roll with screaming guitars
