Angel Dust
Venom - Topic Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Living
Running,
Out on the streets at night,
Searching,
Hoping,
For the right connection, coz',
Need it, want it,
You know I've got to have it,
Takes me higher than anything I know.

Angel dust,
Need a shot to see me through the day,
Angel dust,
Want a lot I've got to get away.

I live my life,
Like there's no tomorrow,
Take no chances
I'm drowning all my sorrows coz' I,
Need it, want it,
You know I've got to have it,
Takes me higher than anything I know.

Laughing,
Crying,
Every night and day,
I know,
You know,
That I'm a different man because I,
Need it, want it,

You know I've got to have it,
Takes me higher than anything I know.

I lived this song. Now as I approach 60, I wish I had a few of those brain cells back.

You did alot of PCP and Angel Dust? Fuck man...I dont know how anyone would wanna feel that every day...and im a former heroin addict so I know a thing or two about drugs. Either way glad you are alive and healthy bro rock on!

Twenty years circa younger than you, so, younger, as said, but surely not in my twenties, and still loving Ketamine. I ever wanted to taste PCP but in my country is not available. Maybe once i had it, but i have no way to compare it with other experiences, it could have been another veterinary anestethic. Been an on/off junkie, and now on legal pk's for legit reasons, done all the drugs i could put my hands on, from herbal sedatives to huffing solvents, but i could never find PCP or Meth where i live. Nor, to my "despair", i could ever find Peyote. I guess you are from the US if you have been on PCP, or British, and i must say that there are plenty of drugs that are available in your land (whether youre american or english) that i'd wish to taste. And i like the fact that people is less prone than here to be influenced by the age factor, when it comes to partying. In the US or in the UK is normal to see people in their 50's, 60's, even 70's to a rave, or to a metal concert, where i live it happens but it's less frequent and it seen as a weird thing. I don't give a fuck about age. IT'S THE ONLY WAY TO SURVIVE. MY YOUTH HAS BEEN FUCKED UP NOT FOR THE DRUGS BUT, BANAL THAT IT CAN SOUND, BECAUSE OF WOMEN AND FAKE FRIENDS, I HAD TO ENDURE A LEVEL OF PAIN THAT HAS BEEN UNBEARABLE AT TIMES BUT DON'T GET ME WRONG: EVEN IF I HAD A MARVELLOUS LIFE (WHICH IN SOME PERIODS HAS BEEN SUCH, BUT EVER SHORTLY) I SHOULD HAVE WANTED TO EXPERIENCE WITH SOME DRUGS ANY FUCKIN' WAY (HALLUCINOGENICS ABOVE ALL). AT THE SAME TIME I THINK THAT I SHOULD HAVE NOT BECOME DEPENDANT ON ANYTHING BUT NICOTINE, HAD I HAD A BETTER CONDITION OF EXISTENCE. BE WELL - ROCK ON!!!

@@nothx962 I had times that i seriously wished to be on Ketamine everyday, but thank God i never done it more than a week in a row. I've been an on/of Heroin addict, one of the few that could quit cold turkey, when i wanted, like everybody says, with the difference that i actually did, but ... once been put on Bupe, andyears later on Oxy, i could never, ever stop. Legal pharms fucked my brain chemistry up more than the street product. Igt is also because the first time that i had the old plan Naloxone-less Subutex i enjoyed it more than Heroin, and the Oxys are the one opie that can get me more hungry than good white smack. I used to get hooked the first time when i could find, back in the day, a good connection for the white stuff, the brown one in the beginning just used to get me half asleep. Hope you're doing well, BTW. Stay safe have fun.

@@nothx962 It was my drug of choice in the late 70s and early 80s; I like heroin and cocaine too, preferably at the same time, but dust was more affordable. When I left DC, I stopped for the most part, although I encountered it a couple of times, it was just not as plentiful where I was living at the time. Ended up on methadone in the end anyway, went to prison.....and well read the book when it comes out. Wouldn't recommend PCP to anyone but I personally had many good times on (and also a couple of psychotic episodes).
