Just Another Day
Venus In Flames Lyrics

Where you can't be found
I know you can't run away from things
They follow you around
It's just another day
But I don't feel the same
You have gone away
Moods skipping from heart to head
Blurring the sight
I long for you to prove me wrong
But you know that I'm right
It's just another day
But I don't feel the same
You have gone away
It's just another day
This must be the taste of the day after
Empty rooms but still I hear you laughter
Slowly losing my mind
From watching television all night long
Waiting for you to come back home
Counting all the hours I spent there alone
It's just another day
The lyrics of "Just Another Day" by Venus In Flames depict the feeling of longing and sadness after someone has left, and how everything seems dull and hopeless. The first verse describes the futile effort of trying to run away from your problems since they always seem to follow you around. The second verse shows the confusion and blur of emotions that follows the separation, the hope that the person may return, and the realization that they are probably not. The chorus repeats the phrase "it's just another day" as a reminder of how life goes on, despite the pain and despair that one may feel.
The lyrics are beautifully poetic, and they capture the universal feelings of heartbreak and loss with poignant simplicity. The song is powerful in conveying the emotions of the singer, and listeners can sympathize with the pain described in the song. The singer's words are also relatable to anyone who has gone through the same experience, and the repetition of "just another day" reflects the cyclical nature of trying to move on from something you can't change.
