Equilibrium
Viktoria Tolstoy Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
If this is what I am supposed to do, man
You just keep quiet I´m like a riot trying to wake you up
All that I know is this moment of bliss
It´s leaving me breathless making me think less
Imagination infatuation
You make me loose my equilibrium
All that I care about is dragging you near but
You keep the distance while
I loose my balance trying to wake you up
All I can tell from this point of view well
You made a good start stealing my poor heart Congratulations, my admiration
You make me loose my equilibrium
In Viktoria Tolstoy's song Equilibrium, the singer is questioning whether the person they are with and the actions they are taking are true and in line with what they are meant to do. They are frustrated with the other person's lack of communication and understanding, and are desperate for them to wake up and realize the intensity of their connection. The singer acknowledges that their infatuation and imagination are clouding their judgment, but they cannot deny the overwhelming feeling of bliss they experience when around this person.
The lyrics also highlight the singer's struggle to maintain balance and stability when all they want is to be close to the other person. Despite feeling unsteady and uncertain, they continue to pursue this person, admiring them for the effect they have on their emotions. Overall, the song explores the themes of love and uncertainty, and the struggle to maintain equilibrium in the face of overwhelming emotions.
