1) Vixen is an all-female rock band who had numerous hits on their first two albums in the late 80's/early 90's. Their hits included Edge of a Broken Heart, Cryin', How Much Love and Love is a Killer. The band split at the height of their success, following their second release, Rev It Up due to creative differences with regards to songwriting and the band's musical direction. There was a third studio album in '98 entitle Tangerine although this was released by only Janet Gardner and Roxy Petrucci with the help of some unknown players and against the wishes of Vixen founder and copyright owner Jan Kuehnemund. The result was a rather protracted legal battle.
After some ill-fated reunions for various tours and projects, Vixen returned with a stable line-up and started touring again. They released a new album in fall of 2006 called Live and Learn. The current members are Jan Keuhnemund on guitar, Lynn Louise Lowrey on bass, Kat Kraft on drums, and Jenna Sanz-Agero on vocals. The album was produced by Dennis MacKay who produced the bands debut in the late 80's.
2) Vixen was also a female-fronted hard rock band from the early 80's, though the rest of the band was male. Most notably, ex-Megadeth guitarist Marty Friedman was in this band. A 2004 2-disc compilation entitled The Works includes essentially everything recorded by this band.
3) Vixen is a Polish rapper and producer.
4) Vixen aka Antonina Karakostova is a Bulgarian-born and Copenhagen-based DJ and producer. Since 2017 she has been gaining momentum both in the Danish scene and
internationally, delivering uncompromising vinyl-focused fast techno sets which combine straightforward techno with industrial, trance and acid influences. In parallel, she is also developing her sound as a producer with pending releases on labels Space Trax (DE) and Sacred Interface (DK).
Rev It Up
Vixen Lyrics

Young enough to believe
Everyone was on our side,
And no one would deceive
But sometimes the truth gets served on a knife,
You gotta stand up and fight
We turned to each other and kicked it in gear
To earn our rock 'n' roll right
Whoa, in a world full of heartache,
Jealousy wears a friendly face
Whoa, we can hold on,
You can't keep a fast car out of the race
[Chorus]
Give it all you got, rev it up, rev it up
Push it to the top, rev it up, rev it up
If anyone tries to hold you back,
Don't let 'em run you off the track
Give it all you got, rev it up
Burnin' with the hope of the innocent,
Ready to own tomorrow
We were gonna set the nights on fire,
But doubt pierced like an arrow
Whoa-oh - when no one's in your corner
Dig down deep and you'll find your pride
Whoa-oh - floor it all the way,
What's behind the wheel can't be denied
[Chorus]
Every fighter takes a fall,
But don't give up tryin'
Sometimes you fly, sometimes you crawl,
One step at a time
Whoa, Hold on tighter,
When the ride gets a little rough
Don't give in, don't give up
[Chorus]
Rev it up, rev it up
Rev it up, rev it up
The lyrics of Vixen's song "Rev It Up" tell a tale of determination and tenacity even in the face of challenges and obstacles. The opening lines suggest that the band was young and optimistic when they started on their dream, believing that everyone was on their side and no one would deceive them. However, sometimes reality can be harsh and individuals have to fight to stay true to their dreams. The lyrics convey the idea that while jealousy may wear a friendly face, individuals should hold on and keep pushing because they cannot keep a fast car out of the race.
As the song progresses, it discusses how doubt can pierce like an arrow, and how it is important to dig deep to find one's pride. The chorus of the song is a call to action to give it all you got and push it to the top. This represents a resilient attitude, where one does not let anyone hold them back or run them off track. The lyrics encourage individuals to hold on tight, even when the ride gets a little rough, and to never give up or give in.
Overall, "Rev It Up" is a song that advocates for resilience and perseverance. It encourages individuals to stand up and fight for their dreams, even when faced with doubt and obstacles.
