Go the Distance
Vocal Spectrum Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I have often dreamed, of a far off place
Where a hero's welcome, would be waiting for me
Where the crowds will cheer, when they see my face
And a voice keeps saying, this is where I'm meant to be
I'll be there someday, I can go the distance
I will find my way, if I can be strong
I know ev'ry mile, will be worth my while
When I go the distance, I'll be right where I belong
Down an unknown road, to embrace my fate
Though that road may wander, it will lead me to you
And a thousand years, would be worth the wait
It might take a lifetime, but somehow I'll see it through
And I won't look back, I can go the distance
And I'll stay on track, no, I won't accept defeat
It's an uphill slope, but I won't lose hope
Till I go the distance, and my journey is complete
But to look beyond the glory is the hardest part
For a hero's strength is measured by his heart
Like a shooting star, I will go the distance
I will search the world, I will face its' harms
I don't care how far, I can go the distance
Till I find my hero's welcome, waiting in your arms

I will search the world, I will face its harms
Till I find my hero's welcome, waiting in your arms

7 years later and tim is now able to hold that note for 35 seconds- ridiculously talented

@chicnnuggies6969

I’m sure he was able to back here too - this is the “safe” version when it comes to live performances!

@madamsthemasterful6580

Tim is something else. He was able to hold a 42 second note, and theres that video of him singing 9 octaves. Something else

@bigoz-fybb

@Madams The Masterful  That 9 octave video is a joke video that he made. His range is nuts, but not that much 😂

@yearniethefox9506

actually hes improved it by like 10 seconds, he holds it for 24 seconds in this recording. in his its 34

@claydouglas2526

@@yearniethefox9506he could probably do 34 when this was recorded, you just take fewer risks live

@guibox3

You know your quartet has a ridiculous range when Tim Waurick is on the bottom of the treble triad chord.

@teodorlontos3294

When does that happen? The bass never goes above the tenor in this arrangement.

@guibox3

@Teodor Lontos On the last chord. I didn't say the bass went higher, just in the 'treble triad chord'. The upper three voices.

@teodorlontos3294

@The Corbinator aha, my bad. Where does that happen?
