Você me viu crescer, sabe o que eu passei
Sabe de onde eu venho, o quanto eu lutei
Quanto eu me empenho buscando o meu lugar
Pra cantar... Eu vou cantar ao vento
Pra cantar... Mudar seu pensamento
Pra cantar...
O jogo apenas começou, eu vou fazendo diferente
Eu sou aquela gaivota que quer sempre melhorar
O jeito de voar...
The song Meu Momento by Wanessa, featuring Ja Rule, is a powerful anthem about self-empowerment and overcoming prejudice. In the opening lines, Wanessa declares that people often underestimate her and treat her like a child, but they do not know what she is capable of. She has big dreams and desires to be more than just a "daddy's girl" or a "society girl." Wanessa is willing to take risks and is not afraid of losing herself because she knows who she truly is: a courageous and truthful person who does not believe in fake or pretentious behavior.
Wanessa speaks directly to those who have watched her grow up and knows the struggles she has faced. She acknowledges that she came from humble beginnings and had to fight hard to get to where she is today. Despite the obstacles, she is determined to find her place in the world and make a difference through her music. Wanessa encourages listeners to listen to what she has to say and observe what she has to offer before passing judgment on her.
Through her lyrics, Wanessa emphasizes the importance of self-love, self-acceptance, and perseverance despite the barriers that society imposes on her. She believes that prejudice is a significant problem that causes deep pain and suffering; however, she knows that those who are resilient and stay true to themselves will always rise up and succeed. The song's message is relevant to anyone who has felt underestimated or undervalued by others and reminds us to fight for our own dreams and to be proud of who we are.
