Touch Of Evil
Warlock Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Outside this flamin' ring of fire
There's nothing left for me to lose
I shoot to kill if I desire
I walk away if I so choose

Four thousand filthy stinkin' liars
Tell me there's nothin' I can do
I don't forget, I don't grow tired
Someday I'll do the same to you

Alles klar bad is good
You better listen till it's understood
There's a touch of evil in my mind
There's a touch of evil in these eyes
There's a touch of evil
There's a touch of evil
This time a touch of evil

There's a fever floatin' round my brain
So many things I can't explain
You better listen, better get it into your head
No regrets for anything I've said
Alles klar bad is good
I'm gonna tell you till it's understood

A touch of evil
In my mind
A touch of evil
Alles klar, alles good
Now I'm here in your neighborhood
There's a touch of evil in my mind
There's a touch of evil in these eyes
There's a touch of evil
There's a touch of evil
There's a touch of evil in my mind
There's a touch of evil in these eyes
There's a touch of evil in my mind
There's a touch of evil in these eyes
A touch of evil in my mind

A touch of evil in these eyes
A touch of evil

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Warlock's "Touch of Evil" depict a character who is ruthless and unforgiving. The singer states that there's nothing left for them to lose and they will shoot to kill if they desire or they will walk away if they choose to. They have been told that there's nothing they can do, but they don't forget and they won't grow tired. These lines suggest that the singer has been wronged, and they seek retribution for the mistreatment they have received, regardless of the consequences.

The chorus of the song emphasizes that there's a "touch of evil" present in the singer's mind and eyes. They assert that they can't explain what's happening to them, but they won't regret what they've said or done. The repeated refrain of "alles klar bad is good" is a German phrase that means "all clear, bad is good." The use of this phrase in the song adds to the ominous and unsettling mood. The song concludes with the singer asserting that there's a "touch of evil" in their mind and eyes, signifying that there's no turning back from the path of revenge they have chosen.

Glad to say my 8 yr old daughter has been playing this back to back for the 3rd time today. I was a year older than her when I started my journey into metal.. So seems to be the right age to introduce her to such a Goddess.

Owen Fitzgerald

The power in her vocal's is phenomenal, pure raw unbridled power. I love it.

" I don`t forget, I don`t grow tired - some day I`ll do the same to you" This line has become my philosophy of life for a reason.

I bought T&A on cassette on release. My skin melted off my body at the end of her SCREAM . . then my box exploded in a ball of fire. Hate to say it cause I'm a Maiden fan ( early years ), but Doro's SCREAM makes Dickinson's Number of the Beast scream sound like a baby crying ( ok . . . a DEMON Baby . . both are AWESOME Screams!)

George Boyd

Damn, her vocals on this song, raises the hairs on the back of my neck. And yes, that's a good thing!

qhekaho
