Originally signed to Jive Records - twin sisters Sandra Lawrence aka Total S and Samantha Lawrence aka T.Y. Tim/Timmie, are best remembered for the single "Wee Rule" - ironically more inspired by reggae and dancehall than rap/hip hop, which reached #6 on the UK Singles Chart in October 1988.[1] Another one of their singles "Heat it Up" - featuring Two Men and a Drum Machine, was a popular dance track which reached #21 on the UK Singles Chart in June 1988.[2] It also featured an acid house/techno style remix from Inner City's Kevin Saunderson which may have contributed to the popularity of the track at the time. They released two albums on Jive Records before splitting up.
The duo got their name "Wee Papa" from the Saint Lucia French Creole expression "Oui Papa" which their father frequently uttered. Their father hailed from the Caribbean island of Saint Lucia.

Wee papa rule the dance
In a brand-new fashion
In a dance hall style we rule.
Wee rule
Wee papa rule the world the dance
In a brand-new fashion
The bass drum is hitting out a hardcore beat
Don't bother even moving
Stay right in your seat.
The captivating mike controller evaluating your act
Je suis t.y. tim
Now how do you like that?
With my ball point pen i write out my show
Drive around in a taxi
Every place that i go
Eat neat
Got a seat 'cause they know me every town
And my sexy reputation won't let me down.
Wee rule
Wee papa rule the dance
...
Def ears on the floor give me what you got
Total s. my control
I'm taking this hot
You say i give away my tales
No grief
Why do you try to run that
He or me?
'cause one of these days you're hitting hard to shell.
We're gonna take you from here to hell
Outside you'll freeze
You'll remember this heat
You tell those lies and why do you cheat
We just take the best
Don't ask a dilemma
This isn't a game
It just gets better.
We show you
Yeah
We show you you that it's no good
If you can't take that you can kiss my boat.
Wee rule
Wee papa rule the dance
...
I saw you sleeping on a station on a dredgy wood bench
I saw you turned away
Embarrassed
Started swearing in french
'fou le camp' you started saying
But you just didn't know
That i passed exams in french about one year ago.
And this beat
This beat is mine.
This beat
This beat is mine.
We rule the dance hall

"Wee Rule" by the Wee Papa Girl Rappers is a song about their domination in the dancehall world. The lyrics are full of pride and confidence in their ability to rule the dance floor. The song opens with the lyrics "Wee rule, Wee papa rule the dance" which sets the tone for the rest of the song. They sing that they are doing it in a brand-new fashion, and with hardcore beats, they are taking over the world.
The band sings about their captivating mike control, which is evaluating the act, and they introduce themselves as T.Y Tim with his ballpoint pen, where he writes out his show, and they drive around in taxis, and every place they go, they eat neat, and they are known every town. The rappers also mention their sexy reputation that won't let them down.
In the second verse, they ask the audience to give them what they've got, and they take control of the situation. They also mention the French language and how they passed their exams in it, indicating their level of intelligence and education.
