They stacked mattresses against the walls of an old Philadelphia row home determined to continue making music together. The original members were; Christopher Smith, Larry Everet, James Walton, Kevin Hardy, Kerry Jo, and Jon Marinari. Hundreds of complaints, broken drumsticks, and power failures later, they emerged from the cloud of dirt and smoke up a creaky staircase ready to put their creations on tape.

Im sorry it was just how i felt at the moment about the song. You can't really tell someone not to comment on something they don't like. Regardless they will. It was just my preference about the song. I probably should have said it differently but it happens. If you enjoy this music then I'm glad because these people know there are the people who dislike them but then again they still always have their fans the ones that love them.

@angelhair0 yes Prozac Nation was a movie indeed, IMDb says it came out in 2001, and WTPY formed in 2003, so it is possible they used it. Also the quote does start out with a lot of talk about drugs, including (you guessed it) Prozac. I'm going to try to find this movie and give it a watch, the reviews say its good anyway. Thanks for the tip, I literally could not find anything on this quote via google search, all that came up was the description in this video and peoples facebooks/myspaces.

there are more words before the 'first' line "What about the future?" if you listen carefully, "V-Man" is still speaking but its very low and covered by some noise. sounds like he says "People are stealing. The world's been stolen." and even more words before that, but i cannot make them out.

@angelhair0 same, it kills me i cant find where this is excerpt is from. i know there is an audio clip used in a jeromes dream song (remember the sea on tranquility) that was from some vhs tape that was in a college library where one of the members went to school, so who knows what kind of obscure source this could come from.

it is not from Prozac Nation. I watched the entire movie and it's just a bad movie about a girl who is going through a "rough" time dealing with the american story of family and growing up. my search continues for where the clip came from..

@fullscale008 Why can't you just say that you enjoy them or otherwise personalize that statement- rather than making some ridiculously childish statement that puts them above all other music? "This is the best ever because I like it a lot"- is precisely the type of ethos that is causing the decline that so vexed this band. Irony.

This song was ruined right when you guys started screaming. Good beginning. Screaming was horrible. I love screaming but those screams sucked ass. And the drums were like...WTF. Like the band not the screaming. Simple criticism. Take it and prove me wrong.
