Wells is also the recording project of Chicagoans Chris Howaniec and Zane Ranney, both members of now-defunct folk-rock band World's First Flying Machine. This Wells plays mid-to-downtempo rock, drawing from its influences in psych rock, slowcore, ambient and early-'90s emo. Chris Howaniec is the songwriter, arranger, vocalist and producer, playing all parts on their two EPs ("Wells" and "Feel Bad") except the drums, which Zane Ranney is infinitely better at.
Wells is also also the name of a former four-man group from Charlottesville, VA that disbanded in January 2006.

Touching the world and I don’t need no gloves
Its in your hands well then everyone fucked
Running it up like Im running on Dunks
Not from Milwaukee but all about bucks
Do what they can I just do what I does
Do what I want that’s the difference from us
Whoa ain’t Ben Frank from Mass?
Uh, yeah we known that
Ouu, keeping it 100
What you know bout that?
Oh, need that times thousand

Make sure that they run it back

Owe me so I want my bag
Before they ain’t rock with us
Want me now I put my tax
We just gunna run it up
Put my city on the map
We just gonna run it up
Make sure that they run it back

Owe me so I want my bag
Before they ain’t rock with us
Want me now I put my tax

Put my city on the map
We just gonna run it up
Make sure that they run it back

Owe me so I want my bag
Before they ain’t rock with us
Want me now I put my tax
