"Revelry"
What a night for a dance, you know I'm a dancing machine
With the fire in my bones
And the sweet taste of kerosene
I get lost in the night so high don't wanna come down
To face the loss of the good thing that I have found
Woo hoo hoooo
Woo hoo hoooo
In the dark of the night I can hear you calling my name
With the hardest of hearts, I still feel full of pain
So I drink and I smoke and I ask you if your ever around
even though it was me who drove us right into the ground
See the time we shared it was precious to me
But all the while I was dreaming of revelry
Gonna run baby run like a stream down a mountainside
With the wind in my back I wont ever even bat an eye
Just know it was you all along that had a hold of my heart
But the demon in me was a best friend from the start
So the time we shared it was precious to me
All the while I was dreaming of revelry
Dreaming of revelry
And I told myself oh the way you go it rained so hard it felt like snow
Everything came tumbling down on me
In the back of the woods, in the dark of the night
Palest pale of the old moonlight
Everythings just felt so incomplete
Dreaming of revelry [x4]

[Verse 1]
In the dark of the night I could hear you calling my name
With the hardest of hearts I still feel full of pain

i was reading through all the comments on how this song reminds them of the time they fought through the pain in their life or a time where they broke down and had nothing left other then this song, so here is my reason for loving this song so much
when this song came out i was around 8 years old so i didn’t know much about bands and music, but i always listened to the songs my two brothers would always play and this album always showed up. me and my brothers would love to just play soccer inside our house and blast music. as we grew older we didn’t really that much together but our taste in music kept the same and when we were in a car together somehow kings of leon would play. then one day, as i got picked up from school by my neighbor he told me that my one of my brothers passed away. it really made feel so awful knowing that your closest sibling is gone forever. i was 17 barely learning how to drive and my family gave me my brothers car and it was amazing cause i had a car to myself. a few months go by and i’m driving at night on my way thinking about my brother and i decided to play music. As i’m looking through the radio i realized that their was a cd. i play the cd and this song played and i haven’t listened to this song in years. as i’m driving i’m crying remembering all the memories i had with my brother and how fun it was having him with me. this song really has a huge impact on everyone

You listen to KOL either in a car doing 50mph down a country road with your friends yelling and laughing around you, or when you're all alone and having an emotional breakdown. They either make a great experience even better or a terrible one seem a little bit brighter and more hopeful.
