I'm from a place called Compton, California
Most of my dogs smoke marijuana
Most on the run from them folks
Whenever they come
They throw that dope
Some swallow it and put in they butt
Not me I stash mine up in the tuck
Mom say son don't be no fool
I'm trying to buy a Bentley, a house on the pool
I just want a piece of the American dream
But Uncle Sam he don't want to share wit me
So when they called up my amigos
He told me bring'em a 10 and kilo

Overall Meaning

The song "Say What" by Guerilla Black featuring Wendy Williams is a tribute to the West Coast legend, Easy-E. It is a song that talks about the struggles and aspirations of people living in the Compton neighborhood of California, and how they're trying to make ends meet by hustling and selling drugs. Guerilla Black talks about how life is tough and how the government doesn't help people of color. The hook of the song is repeated several times, asking different cities about their business, implying that life is tough everywhere.

Guerilla Black starts his verse by mentioning that most people in Compton smoke marijuana and are usually on the run from the police. He also mentions that drug dealers swallow drugs or stash them in their butts to evade the police. He goes on to talk about his aspirations in life, of owning a Bentley, a house, and living the American Dream. He also mentions how Uncle Sam doesn't want to share this dream with him. He talks about how drug dealers help each other and how they look out for their friends.

In the second verse, Guerilla Black talks about the struggles in the ghetto, where everyone either has a job or has turned to hustling. He mentions that a lot of young men are off to war, and he's just trying to work hard and put some 15-inch speakers in his car. He also mentions his love for champagne and how he's not ugly but handsome. He talks about his high-class lifestyle and how he's not scared of anyone.

Molar Bear

gotta give her praise for being strong and rolling on with life but obviously it's humiliating, raw and she is human. she is handling the questions well.

Wendy asking herself “what am I doing” on a live recording shows you how real she is and will always be like nobody wants to confess everything going at home to the world…I know that took alot

Charmaine B

What are you doing, Wendy? You are feeling and that's ok. Took me years to get over my divorce; it's like experiencing the death of a loved one. I pray you heal faster than I did.

Sage713
