I heard he's playing a fender bass vi

@haloskater24

Haha he played “the lick”

@chandlertaylor3881

So he's playing a gibson baritone guitar on this track, tuned an octave lower than his L5 with a longer scale

@mariepyronneau4340

Nope! it s an electric bass

@gitarwoman2

I heard about him playing baritone guitar. This is awesome!

@gregoryjclark81

@Marie Pyronneau electric fuzz bass

@davidsanderson5918

I'm coming to this as a newbie. There seems to be some debate out there whether it's ekectricbass or a baritone guitar. I'm going to go with the latter....a) who would want to play bass on a tune like that when he's got something better suited b) the clue's in the humour of the title and c) it just doesn't have the clank and body to it which a bass string would have, up the neck like that.
I've not played a 'baritone guitar' but I play bass and.....just, nahhhh.😊

@David Sanderson I played about a decade on a 28'' 5/8 baritone, this has really the sound of a sightly shorter scale, something like 27'' equipped with a stop tail piece to release a bit a tension, which gives a similar effect to bass players doing licks without pick. My bet would be something like a Gretsch or Gibson.
