Grimmy!
Astral I see where you are coming from but I kinda have to disagree.
I think most of the political statements are made by the character in the story in a sort of hysterical mess, not legitimately trying to make a point about the topics he mentions, but rather so swept up in the chaos that he ultimately strings together numerous anecdotes in a panic.
The misogynism from the character I think comes from the character's self destructive porn addiction as well as just moments of hysteria.
Keep in mind though, this is just what I've gathered from listening to it and I'm no writer or expert in music.
Either way, I like this album a lot. It's surrealism, dialog and moments of peace mesh well together.

>write and record an entire audio drama purely to work through and overcome your extreme self-image issues as an artist, only capable of feeling that you create complete dogshit or the greatest pieces of art ever made
>everybody calls it either complete dogshit or the greatest piece of art ever created

I think it was designed that way. The lo-fi, "brown" to put it in a Ween way, nature of the actual songs, the self-aware humor and irony, the references to Thom Yorke and Kendrick Lamar in an intentionally "cringe" manner… it‘s all designed to be as wildly controversial as possible. And it succeeded, by all accounts.

Found this album 2 years ago on YouTube autoplay while drawing. Previously I'd have listened to a few obscure pieces to broaden my horizons and then track 4 begins: thus starts the most emotional experience I've ever had in my entire life from a piece of media. I didn't know what raptok was until way after since I found this before it trended on tiktok, but I'm glad I found it myself and didn't set any expectations. This album is nothing short of a masterpiece. Saying it's for everyone is ridiculous. This is an album for those who like this kinda stuff. It sure isn't the future of music, but it's important to me. 10+

I couldn't agree with you more! Anyone who says great art isn't made anymore is watching too much MTV. This is true artwork.

Astral I'm glad you think my response was good! Thanks for being open minded about it as well.
