Non Stop
Whitey Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Non stop, you keep on coming
Non stop, you keep on coming
No way to stop you coming
And anyone anywhere else is better than me

One stop, you keep on coming
One stop, you keep on coming
And anyone anywhere everywhere rather than me

Watch out, I know you're coming
Watch out, I see you coming
And anyone anywhere else is better than me

Non stop, you keep on coming
Non stop, you keep on coming
And anyone anywhere everywhere rather than me

And it's now on me
And it's now on me
And it's now on me
And it's now on me

Watch out, I know you're coming
Watch out, I see you coming
And anyone anywhere everywhere rather than me

Non stop, you keep on coming
Non stop, you keep on coming
And anyone anywhere else is better than me

Non stop, you keep on coming
No way to stop me coming
And anyone anywhere else is better than me

One stop, you keep on coming
One stop, you keep on coming
And anyone anywhere everywhere rather than me

And it's now on me
And it's now on me
And it's now on me
And it's now on me
And it's now on me
And it's now on me

And it's now on me
And it's now on me

Overall Meaning

In "Non Stop," Whitey sings about the feeling of being overwhelmed by someone else's constant presence and how it makes him feel inadequate. The repetition of "non stop" and "one stop" highlights the relentlessness of this person's presence and how they don't seem to have any intention of stopping. Whitey seems to be warning himself to be careful because he knows that this person is coming for him, and he can't seem to escape them. He feels that no matter where he goes, this person will always be perceived as better than him.

The phrase "And it's now on me" repeated at the end of the song seems to suggest that Whitey has accepted that he is responsible for how he feels and how he perceives the situations he finds himself in. He acknowledges that he can't keep trying to avoid this person and that he has to find a way to live with their presence.

Overall, "Non Stop" paints a picture of the overwhelming feeling of being in someone's constant presence and how it can make you feel small and insignificant. Whitey's lyrics and haunting melody blend together to create a vivid image of someone feeling like they can't escape the person they're talking about.

I remember listening to this song on my walk in between classes back in college, it's good for when you're late and need to power walk with a soundtrack. Good times, great music. Thanks Whitey!
