Just searched for this after seeing Classic FM share a covered version.

Good to know these guys are still active! I saw them in Holt, North Norfolk, once, and bought their CD and DVD with this piece filmed against a white background! It was a good gig :D

So how do they record perfect tone with no microphones, recording equiptment or any visible power source in the middle of an empty field? Is this the cello version of lip syncing?

@Martha Kaufman Not sure in this instance but there are many battery powered devices now...you might see buskers with battery powered amps singing in the street..Wonderful technology is exploding everywhere..Also in many film locations they run all the lines to a truck or van that has plenty of power and all the fixings for recording...

It looks like there is a pick up attached that is sending the signal to the recording device..look at around 1:22 until 1:30. If there are wires running, they could easily be hidden under the top layers of grass..
