I'll Let You Know
Wild Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I felt life in colors
They′re starting to fade
I heard love in songs, now
That's starting to change
You say everybody′s lost
And it's not just me
In that i found
Some company

So close, yet so far
I'm reaching for what kept me whole
I don′t know how long
Till I feel, till I feel at home
But I′ll let you know

Don't have the answers
I′m feeling okay to be just okay
What has been down
It must come up and around again

Is everybody lost or is it just me

Overall Meaning

These lyrics convey a sense of fading joy and changing emotions. The first two lines, "I felt life in colors, they're starting to fade, I heard love in songs, now that's starting to change," suggest a loss of vibrancy and passion in life. The singer used to experience life in vivid colors and feel love through music, but now those sensations are diminishing.

The next few lines, "You say everybody's lost, and it's not just me, in that I found some company," indicate that the singer finds solace in knowing that they are not alone in feeling lost. It seems that someone else acknowledges that everyone experiences moments of confusion and uncertainty. This recognition brings a sense of companionship, as if sharing in the struggle with others lessens the burden.

The chorus, "So close, yet so far, I'm reaching for what kept me whole, I don't know how long till I feel, till I feel at home, but I'll let you know," expresses a longing for something that can bring back a sense of wholeness and belonging. The singer is aware that they have not yet found that connection or feeling of being at home, but they promise to inform the person they are addressing once they do.

The final two lines, "Don't have the answers, I'm feeling okay to be just okay, what has been down, it must come up and around again, is everybody lost or is it just me," reflect the singer's acceptance of not having all the answers. They are content with simply being okay, acknowledging that life has its ups and downs. In the last question, the singer wonders whether everyone feels lost or if it's just their personal experience, displaying a touch of vulnerability and seeking validation.
