(1) William are a band from Lewisham, London, UK. The lives of three skater souls became entwined following a chance meeting beside the famous tea clipper-the Cutty Sark sometime in 2004. As the original drummer made a swift exit North, Gavin Housley and Mark Thomas were to be joined by kindred spirit Dan Sheridan and the true incarnation of William was born: Three boys and the truth. Guitars and drums with musical hearts. No over-the-top theatrics, expensive hairdressers or hip hip outfits. Just the usual lads in the bedroom making songs about frustration and relationships and more frustration and more sweat on the guitars and different instruments sometimes. So far William have released two singles - 'Five Minute Wonder' and 'Playground', a debut album - 'Self in Fiction' (2008) and more recently a mini-album - 'Slightly Delighted' (2009) all of which can be found on the Tough Love Records label. More information can be found at the bands official Myspace.
(2) WILLIAM is the solo project of North Carolina based musician/artist Will Goodyear. The project has been through many different stages of development including a full band version under a different name (Lobbyist - Will Goodyear, Josh Germeroth, Jared Harber, Matt Damron, Ben Hunsinger) but is now back to the original solo format. WILLIAM's first release (Tints and Shades - Impression Music/Lifeforce Records) was Will's first attempt at branching from his roots in heavy music (Between the Buried and Me, Hopesfall, Prayer for Cleansing) and follows a more traditional pop rock format. The new record (Surface the Vessel - Textbook Music. scheduled for release summer 2006) offers listeners a much matured approach to song writing and a more thought out, personal sound. Will will be performing the new material with a new band beginning this spring.

Time doesn't stop and we won't change
There will be always a joke to make
Don't mind if you feel blue
Because you're my friend
Once again
People are saying that we're insane
Because we're laughing all Ying day
They aren't living today
Have a beer, always here
I'll have a Coke and what the hell?
If in this kitchen it's always ten
That's ok
Talking about the women again
We have so many stories to tell
Sometimes they're so bad, or maybe quite well
Have a beer, always here
I'll have a Coke and what the hell?
If in this kitchen it's always ten
The lyrics of William's song "Always ten" convey a sense of camaraderie and joy in the face of life's difficulties. The song speaks to the enduring nature of friendship and the ability to find humor even in tough times. It suggests that while time may keep moving and circumstances may change, the bond between friends remains steadfast.
The opening lines, "Look at us, time doesn't stop and we won't change," imply a recognition of the passing of time and the inevitability of change. Despite this, the lyrics highlight the unwavering support and companionship that friends provide. The line "There will be always a joke to make" suggests that humor is a coping mechanism, a way to lighten the mood and find solace in each other's presence. The song acknowledges that feeling down is natural, but assures the listener that their friend will be there for them, saying "Don't mind if you feel blue, because you're my friend, once again."
The lyrics then go on to address the judgment and misunderstanding from others who perceive their laughter as insanity. The line "They don't understand life's hard, they aren't living today" implies that these critics may not fully grasp the challenges and complexities of life, and therefore cannot appreciate the need for laughter and companionship. The mention of having a beer or a Coke signifies a moment of relaxation and enjoyment, regardless of what others may think. The phrase "If in this kitchen it's always ten" suggests that their gathering place, their safe space, is always filled with a sense of warmth and contentment.
Furthermore, the lyrics touch upon the topic of discussing women, hinting at the various experiences and stories shared among the friends. These stories may range from humorous to perhaps not-so-good, but even so, they serve as another source of bonding and shared memories. The repetition of "Have a beer, always here" reinforces the sentiment of constant support and the willingness to be there for each other through it all.
Overall, "Always ten" is a song that celebrates friendship, resilience, and the power of laughter and companionship in navigating life's challenges.
