Beautiful mellow tone, may I ask if you recommend always standing whilst playing the big lutes?

Thanks, I must confess I find it difficult to stand even with a 6 or 7 course, I have tried various sitting positions using foot stools straps etc trying to maintain a consistent angle of the neck and mimimise tension and now think for me using an ajustable stool to sit on works best with my feet planted flat on the ground. Over the years I found I was subconsciously arching my ankles and constantly moving the lute to get comfotable which was of course changing the attack for both right and left hand effecting tone production as well as physical comfort.
