Time when we
We had made
Made at sea
But now i stare
Stare into
Emptiness
I'll find you in these waters
So reach your arm out to me
I promise it'll end soon
Once then we'll be free
Promise me
Me and you
You will be
Be here soon
But now i stare
Stare into
Emptiness
Turned to miss
I'll find you in these waters
So reach your arm out to me
I promise it'll end soon
Once then we'll be free
Stay with me
In my arms
Stay with me
Till we're free
Stay with me
In my arms
Stay with me
By my side
The lyrics to Wisp's song "Once then we'll be free" speak about the longing for a past love and the hope for a future reunion. The opening lines "Live in time, Time when we, We had made, Made at sea" suggest that the singer and their partner once had a special connection, symbolized by their time spent together at sea. However, the following lines reveal a sense of emptiness and longing: "But now I stare, Stare into, Emptiness, Turned to miss." The singer is now left staring into emptiness, missing the presence of their loved one.
The chorus provides a glimmer of hope and faith in the eventual reunion: "I'll find you in these waters, So reach your arm out to me, I promise it'll end soon, Once then we'll be free." The singer is confident that they will find their loved one again, urging them to reach out and promising that their separation will soon come to an end. The phrase "Once then we'll be free" implies that once they are reunited, they will finally experience freedom from the longing and emptiness they currently feel.
In the second verse, the singer continues to express their longing and makes a plea for their loved one's presence: "Promise me, Me and you, You will be, Be here soon." The repetition of "Stay with me, In my arms" in the final verses emphasizes the singer's desire for their partner to remain by their side, seeking comfort and solace in their embrace until they are finally free.
Overall, the lyrics of "Once then we'll be free" by Wisp convey a deep desire for a reunion with a lost love and the belief that their separation will come to an end, bringing them the freedom and happiness they seek.

Slow Crush - Aurora
Deafcult - Deafcult
Pinkshinyultrablast - Happy Songs for Happy Zombies
All shoegaze albums with a similar enough sound to Wisp. Also check out the band Julie. They’re a bit more fast paced, more chunky distrortion less ethereal reverb, but they’re another California shoegaze project that’s up and coming.

Your music is so beautiful.. Am I the only person that feels a certain type of emotion whenever I hear this type of music? It's hypnotic. So pretty. Can't wait to hear more of this genre! Change the world, Wisp!🖤
