Read Full Bio ↴Cult Tamworth, UK rockers, now recording again after a 16 year break.
Originally formed in 1984, the band released a series of demos on cassette before their 7" vinyl debut Clutching at Straws in 1988. This was swiftly followed by the Wasted But Dangerous 12" EP in the same year. They were highly regarded live performers and eventually caught the attention of Rick Rubin's Def American label, but their debut full length album (Live Fast, Die Fast in 1989) saw little commercial success, oft-attributed to Rubin's very flat production. Their later releases saw more favourable press, with their live album Massive Noise Injection being particularly well received. They split up when their singer Blaze Bayley left to join Iron Maiden in 1994.
Wolfsbane reformed in September 2007 to headline the Rock of Ages Festival in their hometown of Tamworth and followed this with a short tour in December of the same year, as special guests supporting The Wildhearts. More live dates followed in December 2010 as guests on The Quireboys' "A Little Bit of What You Fancy" 20th anniversary tour, and they also self-released a 'best of' compilation album.
It is believed that the band are now working on new material with a view to recording their 5th studio album in the second half of 2010. The as yet untitled album is likely to surface in 2011, with a possible tour and festival appearances to support it. Further updates will be posted to the band's official website, www.wolfsbanehms.com.
Money Talks

What are the reasons? We stuck it out so far
Do you ever worry about you and me?
Do you ever think this is the way we'll always be?
It's just like a circus clown with no make up
A loaded trailer with no truck
A power amp with no guitar
Once again, once again
Once again, we're out of luck again
Money talks
Money talks
Money talks, it says goodbye
It dies like you and I
Crucify myself on my own dream
These blistered hands are worth what a real life means
It's just like a circus clown with no make up
A loaded trailer with no truck
A power amp with no guitar
A jukebox in an empty bar
Once again, once again
Once again, we're out of luck, my friend
Money talks
Money talks
Money talks, it says goodbye
It dies like you and I
But it says life is a struggle
But Jesus Christ!
Can you call this mess a home?!
Once again, my friend
We're out of luck again
Money makes the pieces fit
We have got too much of it
It's just like a circus clown with no make up
A loaded trailer with no truck
A power amp with no guitar
A jukebox in an empty bar
Once again, once again
Once again, we're out of luck, my friend
Money talks
Money talks
Money talks, it says goodbye
It dies like you and I
Money talks
The lyrics of Wolfsbane's song "Money Talks" explore the relationship between money and happiness. The opening lines ask the rhetorical question of whether we ever wonder about our lives, and what motivates us to keep going. The song goes on to suggest that money is an integral part of our lives, and that it has the power to affect how we feel about ourselves and our relationships. The lyrics suggest that money can be a source of tension between lovers, and that it has the power to change what we want out of life. The chorus repeats the notion that money talks, and it doesn't always say good things. In fact, sometimes money can be the cause of our unhappiness, as the song suggests that it dies just like we do.
The second verse of the song suggests that we need to be careful not to sacrifice our dreams for money. The lyrics suggest that we can "crucify" ourselves by chasing after something that isn't as important as we thought it was. The chorus repeats again, emphasizing that money doesn't always offer a solution to our problems. The final verse of the song suggests that we need to be aware of how money affects our sense of home. The lyrics suggest that when we have too much money, our lives can become a mess. This line suggests that having too much money can lead to a feeling of emptiness, as it doesn't offer us the sense of security and stability that we need to feel truly happy.
Overall, the lyrics of "Money Talks" suggest that money is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, it can offer us a sense of security and material comfort. On the other hand, it can lead to tension in our relationships, a sense of dissatisfaction with our lives, and a feeling of emptiness.
