XmH was founded in 2003 by frontman Benjamin Samson when he left the band Active Disorder. Before Active Disorder Benjamin also was active as the lead singer for an electro/industrial act called Chupacabras. Benjamin always felt the urge to create his own music, so he began experimenting with a couple of side-projects. It was only a matter of time, for one of these side-projects became his main focus. And so XmH was born.
Benjamin quickly realised that he needed some extra "manpower" to put on a good live show. So he began the search for a wingman to back him up on stage. His search ended with DSD-singer Pieter Sperling. Pieter takes care of the programming on stage, and is now a permanent member of the XmH crew. Recently Charlot Wever joined XmH to bring some '"girlpower" into the band, Charlot will be playing live keys and she'll be adding background vocals on stage.
XmH released their debut ep cd 'Life' in 2005 which managed to stay in the DUC (Dutch Underground Charts) for more than 6 months. The song 'Rape Your God' also stayed in the DUC for a very long time and has become a club favorite in the dutch dark underground scene. At the moment XmH is in the process of recording their full length cd 'Time To Play' which will be released July 2007.
The energetic live shows have been received very well by audience and media (see Reviews). XmH has an in-your-face attitude with just one aim, to get the people dancing and partying. In relatively short time XmH has worked itself up to become one of the best new hot acts from Holland (without a record contract!). In just a year time XmH has already played with the likes of Funker Vogt, Angels & Agony, Clan Of Xymox, Amduscia, Agonoize and many others, showing them to be tough competition.

XMH Lyrics

Only hypocrisy
I am your leader
I tell you what to believe
I tell the truth but it's a lie
I am the reason your children die
I am your leader
Believe the lie x4
There's no more democracy
Only hypocrisy
I am your leader
I tell you what to believe
I tell the truth but it's a lie
I am the reason your children die
I am your leader
Your lives belong to me
Believe the lie x8
The lyrics to XMH's "Truth" paints a grim picture of a society that has lost all forms of democracy and is now governed by leaders who only promote hypocrisy. The repetition of the line "There's no more democracy, only hypocrisy" emphasizes the gravity of the situation. The leader in the song claims to tell the truth but is, in fact, lying to their people, which results in the death of their children. The final lines, "I am your leader, your lives belong to me" suggests an absolute rule where the people have no say.
The song seems to be a commentary on authoritarian leadership, where leaders hold absolute power over their people and are not accountable for their actions. The message of the song is clear – do not believe everything you're told, question authority and hold leaders accountable for their actions. XMH's "Truth" is a powerful and timely reminder of the importance of democracy and accountability in a society.
