In June 2013, YG signed to Young Jeezy's CTE World. His 2013 single "My Nigga" featuring Jeezy and Rich Homie Quan has peaked at number 19 on the US Billboard Hot 100, becoming the highest charting song of his career. He then released the singles "Left, Right" and "Who Do You Love?" featuring Drake leading up to the release of his debut studio album. His debut album, My Krazy Life was released on March 18, 2014, by Pu$haz Ink, CTE World and Def Jam.
YG came up with the idea for Pu$haz Ink in September 2008 with friends Ace and PC. He later officially co-founded the record label with DJ Mustard.[20] Originally the "label" was used as a promotional tool and a brand for YG and DJ Mustard's group of rap collaborators they had grown up with. Then as YG, Ty Dolla Sign and DJ Mustard grew in popularity, they decided to officially form a record label for Pushaz Ink, including rappers RJ, Reem Riches, Tee Cee, and Slim 400. In June 2014 YG signed music producer Kidd Cole sources say.

Fuck the police, fuck the police
Fuck the police, fuck the police
Fuck the police, fuck the police
Fuck the police (fuck 'em), fuck the police
Fuck the police (fuck 'em), fuck the police
Fuck the police (fuck 'em), fuck the police
Fuck the police (fuck 'em), fuck the police
Fuck the police, that's how I feel
Buy a Glock, break down the block
That's how I feel (that's how I feel)
Murder after murder after all these years
Buy a strap, bust back after all these tears
Mommas cryin', how they gon' heal? (How they gon'?)
How you would feel?
Fuck silence, speak up bitch, this shit ill
(Big-big) Big stick on me, y'all kill, we kill
Been tired, fuck cardboard signs, we in the field
It's the Ku Klux cops, they on a mission
It's the Ku Klux cops, got hidden agendas
It's the truth, I won't stop
Open cases, police already hate me, why not
Make your rich-ass city look like trash? (Look like trash)
To whoever make the rules, we need answers fast
Oh they mad? Fuck it, let's make 'em mad (Let's make 'em mad)
Without that badge you's a bitch and a half
Fuck the police, fuck the police
Fuck the police, fuck the police
Fuck the police, fuck the police
Fuck the police, fuck the police
Fuck the police (fuck 'em), fuck the police
Fuck the police (fuck 'em), fuck the police
Fuck the police (fuck 'em), fuck the police
Fuck the police (fuck 'em), fuck the police
Protect and serve mean duck and swerve
Police pulled me over, I don't stop, I'm scared (scared)
Fuck 12, bitch, I got the nerves
Fuck 12, bitch, they get on my nerves (fuck 12)
Ayy, fuck pig, fuck bacon (bacon)
I don't eat pork, I replaced it (fuck, fuck)
Fuck you and your slave shit
We supposed to be free like the Masons
I'm tired of being tired of being tired
I'm tired of being shot at like a opp
Callin' all the foodies from the tribe
We on some fuck the police shit, it's the vibe
I hate when they handcuff me (me)
Actin' tought with a vest and a gun, he think he keen
I hate when they handcuff me
Actin' tough, callin' for backup, I think he weak
Fuck the police, fuck the police
Fuck the police, fuck the police
Fuck the police, fuck the police
Fuck the police, fuck the police
Fuck the police (fuck 'em), fuck the police
Fuck the police (fuck 'em), fuck the police
Fuck the police (fuck 'em), fuck the police
Fuck the police (fuck 'em), fuck the police
The Ku Klux cops, they on a mission
It's the Ku Klux cops, got hidden agendas
It's the truth, I won't stop
It's the-it's, the-it's the truth I won't stop
Protect and serve mean duck and swerve
Protect and serve mean duck and swerve
Fuck the police, that's how I feel
Fuck-fuck-fuck, fuck the police
The lyrics to YG's song "FTP" express a strong and uncompromising sentiment of anger and frustration towards the police. The repeated phrase "Fuck the police" serves as the central theme and chorus of the song, emphasizing a rebellious and defiant attitude towards law enforcement. The song addresses the issue of police brutality and racial injustice, portraying the police as corrupt and oppressive figures. YG calls for resistance and action, urging listeners to arm themselves and fight back against a system that has perpetuated violence and inequality.
The lyrics also highlight the pain and grief caused by police violence, with mentions of mothers crying and the need for healing. YG criticizes the silence and indifference surrounding these issues, calling for people to speak up and demand justice. The song serves as a rallying cry for change, rejecting the narrative that the police are meant to protect and serve, and instead presenting them as a force to be confronted and challenged.
Overall, "FTP" is a powerful and provocative song that captures the outrage and defiance felt by many in response to police brutality and systemic racism.

I stand with all African Americans! You been through enough, your ancestors been through enough, and for years you've been mistreated, tooken advantage of, and had many of your inventions and style stolen from other races without giving you credit. I respect you as my brother and sister.

Stop saying African Americans, we are AMERICANS. We not born in Africa
Brandon Dancer
@Jokobee _ Why angry at him for? He was still telling facts about YOU all. Of course you're American. Duh. He was specifically and clearly talking about the blacks. Because saying just "American" can mean just white people in most people's mind. He was addressing the blacks in general.
