Born Alonzo M. Coley (1985) in Chicago on the south side in the Englewood area. He got into trouble at a young age. He first started writing rhymes and music while he was in a juvenile corrections facility. He got his first recording contract at the age of 17 When he signed with a small independent label. He released two singles. He quickly realized that he was put here to make music and to do his part in mentoring the youth of his community and to work at ending gang violence.

In 1999 he was a semi-finalist in the Budweiser Freshest M.C. contest, in 2000 a finalist, and winning the contest in 2002 and 2004 along the way picking up mad props and a very large following of fans on the underground circuit by displaying hot to deaf lyrics and strong stage performances. In the summer of 2005 he released a maxi-single independently and sold over 17,000 copies. In 2006 came the release of another maxi Release. He quickly followed the success of that release to his next maxi single release in the beginning of 2007.

For most of 2008, Ya-Boy A.M.C. has held the current # 1 song in the Nation for an unsigned Urban Artist on major radio networks website, with over 2,477,000 requested plays. Also during 2008 he has built an remarkable fan base and has generated over 11 million website hits/views total.

Early in 2009, his first major CD iHustle 24/7 is set to release internationally and will be available through most digital outlets and at many music stores throughout the nation. YA-BOY AMC has developed the iHustle brand product line ready for mass production including the hottest Urban apparel, jewelry and timepieces. A video and a major touring production are in the planning stages to support the release of iHustle 24/7.

“iHustle 24/7" contains his two Internet hit singles, "iHustle" and "Hey Miss Lady" along with ten other masterpiece songs straight off the streets of the big city.
