I just woke up to a bag
I just woke up
Hey
Whole lotta money coming in, I'm just a kid, I don't know how to act
When I wake up, it don't surprise me how most these bitches act
Nine of ten of y'all don't be as high as me, that's just a simple fact
Heard you wanted to make a song with me, getting Turbo-taxed
I was sipping exotic and getting wax'
Ain't gon' lie, I was in the basement, now I'm in a jet
What they said?
Yeah, what they said about us, probably left 'em on read
Yeah, new coupe got new insides, this bitch all-red
Yeah, in this Maybach, put the curtains down, I'm getting head
Sad, yeah, oh, he went out sad
Yeah, everything flawless on us, you know it's on us
We sip a whole lot of motherfucking Wock', bitch, we keep that right on us
I was lazy as hell, I Uber Eat-ed two cups
Say you 7-Eleven soda from exotic pop
Yeah, geeked up 24/7, bitch, I'm out my body a lot
Ecstasy, Oxycodone, codeine breakfast
Yeah, that bitch's throat the GOAT, I got her diamond necklace
I only be with her one day of the week
And Monday, she gon' suck me up in my sleep
Sometimes I be so high, I can't even see
It's all bullshit they talking 'bout, bitch just let me be
Whole lotta money coming in, I'm just a kid, I don't know how to act
When I wake up, it don't surprise me how most these bitches act
Nine of ten of y'all don't be as high as me, that's just a simple fact
GLE came in, got the Carfax
Heard you wanted to make a song with me, getting Turbo-taxed
I was sipping exotic and getting wax'
Ain't gon' lie, I was in the basement, now I'm in a jet
The lyrics to Yeat's song "Jus Wokëup" portray a sense of newfound success and confidence. The opening lines, "Woke up, I just woke up to a bag," suggest that the singer has woken up to a significant amount of money or success. They express a lack of surprise at how people around them, particularly women, act differently in response to their success.
The line, "Nine of ten of y'all don't be as high as me, that's just a simple fact," can be interpreted in two ways. On one hand, it could refer to the singer's elevated status or level of success compared to others. On the other hand, it could also imply a reference to being under the influence of drugs, highlighting a sense of detachment from reality or an altered state of consciousness.
The mention of GLE and Carfax may allude to the singer acquiring expensive cars or luxury possessions. They also mention potential collaborations ("Heard you wanted to make a song with me") and their penchant for indulging in exotic drinks and wax (possibly referencing both drugs and elaborate smoking rituals).
The second verse adds more insights into the singer's lifestyle. They refer to being constantly high or "geeked up" and their reliance on substances like ecstasy, Oxycodone, and codeine for breakfast. There is also a reference to a sexual relationship with a woman, which seems to be limited to one day a week, emphasizing a casual and detached approach to relationships.
Overall, "Jus Wokëup" showcases a sense of arrogance and hedonism, highlighting the singer's newfound wealth, substance use, and detached relationships.
