Whatever You Want
Yoko Ono Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

One, two, three, four!

Alright, alright

Whatever gets you through the night,
It'salright, alright.
Bet your money or your life,
It's alright, alright.
Don't need a sword to cut through flowers,
Oh no, oh no.

Whatever gets you through your life
It's alright, alright.
Do it wrong, do it wrong, do it right,
It's alright, alright.
Don't need a watch to waste your time,
Oh no, oh no.

Listen, listen,
Hold me, darlin', come on listen to me,
I won't do you no harm.
Trust me, darlin', come on, listen to me,
Come on, listen to me,
Listen, listen, baby, listen.

Alright.

Whatever gets you to the light,
It's alright, it's alright.
Out the blue or out of sight,
It's alright, alright.
Don't need a gun to blow your mind,
Oh no, no, no.

No! no!

Listen,
Hold me, darlin', come on listen to me,
I won't do you no harm.
Trust me, darlin', come on, listen to me,
Come on, listen to me,
Listen to me, listen to me.

Alright.

Do right, do right, do right, do right, do right, do right.

-"stop! ....sounded pretty active."

One, two, three, four.....

That’s Elton John singing back up and on the piano too! What a fun song. it was John Lennon’s only song to reach #1 on the charts in his solo career and I’m hearing it for the first time this is a very underrated song for sure

@alittleguy8114

If it reached #1 I don't think is underrated.

@alexacdc1234

@A little guy yeah it reached #1 in its day but today it’s virtually unknown compared to their more notable work

This could've been the worst song by the Beatles (and or everyone in it) and this song would still make the top 1000
