A person who spends a lot of time in the sun is gonna have have more wrinkling, sagging skin than if they if they would've protected their skin. Just an example of how factors play a role in the aging process. There are lots of ways you can preserve your youthful appearance as you get older. You don't HAVE to look old because your older, and you definitely don't have to look older than your age if you just properly take care of yourself.

@@danielz1666 self care is extremely important. Yes: but genetics 🧬 , autoimmune disorders, etc. but indeed definitely the genetics role is a big uncontrollable factor in one’s appearance. (If “unaltered,” which the narrator seemed to have a negative opinion on overall.)
I’m all for it, (cosmetic procedures- no matter the intensity, outpatient to full anesthesia alterations: I’ve partaken. And my self esteem and overall life changed as that one unalterable part of myself was then changed - enhanced- (breast augmentation) I feel more proportional & more feminine, and thus my self esteem was drastically boosted for it. (though indeed I was born & still identify as female.) im all for cosmetic procedures if the person receiving the cosmetic procedures is the one who truly desires it.
However, I unfortunately can speak to the autoimmune situation, as, I myself, after my MD ran a suspicious test regarding my thyroid, discovered that I also suffer from hypothyroidism and so I’m also a big advocate for getting Regular health & wellness checkups as well as and diet/exercise, SPF. Everyone is so different. And so much is out of our control. (It turns out: many of my father’s late family members had the same thyroid defect as I. It is managed today with a common medication. And as far as the cosmetic procedure: I was & am VERY blessed that I had the money & access to even receive it in the first place. So: socio-economics also, sadly, play a big role in how we age, or appear as we do so. It’s not always just those factors we CAN control. I respect & understand your argument, please understand. 🙏
