Overall Meaning

The opening of the lyrics to Young Maylay's "Liq Hittaz" take us to a scene where he lived where people were always driving expensive cars but before he got involved in selling drugs. He reminisces about a robbery he committed back in the day where he and his boys ran into a convenience store (2-11) armed with guns and made everyone hit the floor. He warns that any sudden movement would earn a bullet as he jumps over the counter and demands that the cashier empties the register while his crew inspects the store for more loot. They quickly grab all the money, including pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, and food stamps, and leave the store, smashing it on the way out. The track then switches to a different robbery that Young Maylay has apparently heard about, where someone got caught slipping and lost around 150 thousand, which wasn't even that impressive of a score, according to him.
