Thug was born amongst the masses eliminating any doubt that he wouldn’t be special. The second youngest child of 11 children developed a skill for standing out amongst many, early. Young Thug moved to Jonesboro, an impoverished suburb of Georgia where his lifestyle was engrossed by the crime, drug addiction and violence that surrounded him. It was there that he developed an insatiable appetite to succeed his current situation. After discovering and acknowledging his talent and creativity for music in 2010, Thug started a new hustle that would soon mature as one of the most promising music careers in the South. He also founded the record label YSL ( Young Stoner/Slatt Life) in 2010.
Eyeballing the throne of Hip hop royalty, Young Thug began to create a sound and style that would inevitably place him on top. Young Thug’s catchy verses and raw lyrical talent distinguished noise from art, clearly being the latter his creations are the best that remain of Southern hip hop. He is the embodiment of the evolution of Southern hip-hop. Young Thug is the representative for a generation that doesn't see hip-hop as a hobby but a lifestyle. Keeping true to himself, his art, and his home Young Thug will stand alone as the one true savior of the Southern movement.

Young Thug Lyrics

Ya dig?
I'm a bailer, same way I own a mailer
Own the smell up, cooked the, uh, he tried to sell us
You can pick up couple grand and a fill up
Peel the top back, we don't need no fuckin' peeler
In suburbans, came in six levels up
I'm a flush, yellow xanny school bus
On a island, damn near spent a million plus
This some big dawg shit, get your levels up (bitch)
Last time I seen the slut, she had started nuttin' (shit, shit)
I had got her to her worst, we was all in public (right)
She don't gotta do nothin' first just 'cause he out your budget (gotta)
White bad shit, lookin' like a fuckin' napkin
We been clappin', shit, that's why we always absent (woo)
Understandin', Phantom Rolls-Royce, it's backwards (yeah, yeah)
They respect us, honeycomb AP bezel (yeah, woo)
I'm just mad 'cause the cameras on the front and back of us (uh-huh woo)
They stay gassed up, they don't know when it's time to mash for us (yeah, yeah, woo)
She cummin' fast up there, I don't know when it's time to care for her (uh-huh, woo)
Smokin' a vegetable, I just been choppin' and fuckin' up vegetables
I'm a bailer, same way I own a mailer
Own the smell up, cooked the, uh, he tried to sell us
You can pick up couple grand and a fill up
Peel the top back, we don't need no fuckin' peeler
Uncle Murda, you can still get turned up
In suburbans, came in six levels up
I'ma flush, yellow xanny school bus
On the island, damn near spent a million plus
In these lyrics, Young Thug starts off by asserting his status as a "bailer" and a "mailer," indicating that he is successful in both making money and sending out messages. He brags about the aroma he owns, possibly referring to the luxurious lifestyle he lives or the quality of his product. He mentions someone attempting to sell to him, but he asserts his dominance by saying that he doesn't need a peeler to remove the top, suggesting that he is above the need for assistance or tools.
Young Thug goes on to name-drop Uncle Murda, implying that Uncle Murda can still enjoy himself and party with them. They arrive in suburbans, indicating that they have escalated their success to a higher level. Young Thug describes himself as a flush of drugs, specifically a yellow Xanax, comparing himself to a school bus filled with drugs. He also mentions being on an island and almost spending over a million dollars, highlighting his extravagant lifestyle.
The lyrics continue with Young Thug proclaiming that he is on a different level than others, encouraging them to elevate themselves. He mentions a previous encounter with a promiscuous woman who reached her peak pleasure in public. He emphasizes that the woman doesn't have to do anything first just because someone else can afford to offer her more.
Young Thug refers to a "white bad shit" that looks like a napkin, likely referring to drugs. He states that they have been involved in violent situations, causing them to frequently be absent or on the run. He talks about a Rolls-Royce Phantom, commenting on the backwards nature of its design. Despite this, people still respect them, as shown by the honeycomb AP bezel, a reference to a luxurious watch. Young Thug expresses frustration with the constant surveillance of cameras on the front and back, suggesting a lack of privacy. He believes that people around him are overly hyped and lack the ability to know when it's time to act on their behalf.
The lyrics conclude with Young Thug alluding to sexual experiences and drug use, referring to smoking a vegetable and messing up vegetables. This could be a metaphor for his reckless and excessive behavior. Overall, the lyrics highlight Young Thug's opulent lifestyle, his confidence, and his disregard for societal norms.
