No kids, nothing there in your bedroom
Coulda kissed, it woulda been a moment
Well I don't understand where you think the trouble is
Come home with me tonight
Come home with me tonight
Come home with me tonight
You were here when we had a real shindig
And no bed, something sits up beside me
A full wreck in town, it wasn't like that
So I don't understand where you think the trouble is
Come home with me tonight
Come home with me tonight
Come home with me tonight
Come home with me tonight
Come home with me tonight
Come home with me tonight
Come home with me tonight
Come home with me tonight
In Yukon Blonde's song "Como," the singer reflects on a moment spent with someone they care about. The lyrics begin with the singer reminiscing about a specific time they were sitting with this person, looking for their brown skirt. The mention of the brown skirt could symbolize a memory or a personal item that holds significance for both individuals. There is a sense of intimacy and anticipation as the singer mentions that they could have kissed, but something seems to be holding them back.
The next lines mention the absence of children and the lack of anything significant in the person's bedroom. This could signify a moment free from responsibilities and distractions, where the singer and this person can focus solely on each other. However, despite the potential for something special, the singer expresses confusion about where the trouble lies. It suggests that there may be underlying issues or doubts that they can't fully comprehend or articulate.
Later in the song, the lyrics mention a past gathering or party where this person was present. There is a reference to there being no bed, which could imply a temporary sleeping arrangement or a shared space. The singer mentions that something sits up beside them, possibly suggesting a feeling of discomfort or unease, contrary to what they expected. Despite the confusion surrounding the trouble, the lyrics emphasize the desire for this person to come home with them, reaffirming their longing for a deeper connection.
Overall, "Como" by Yukon Blonde portrays a complex emotional landscape, where moments of closeness and potential are juxtaposed with underlying uncertainties and obstacles. The lyrics hint at a yearning for a more profound connection with someone, inviting them to come home and explore the possibilities together.
