1) Yunalis binti Mat Zara'ai (born 14 November 1986 in Alor Setar, Kedah, Malaysia), professionally known as Yuna, is an acoustic/alternative/pop singer-songwriter originating from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and is now based in Kuala Lumpur and Los Angeles, US. She began making a mark for herself in the local independent scene in 2007, before releasing her demo in February 2008. Her debut EP, Yuna EP, was released in October 2008. Her debut album was finally released in July 2010, titled Decorate.
Yuna has been cementing herself in the local scene with complementary comparisons to the likes of Norah Jones and Rachael Yamagata. Her influences include Fiona Apple, Feist, Lykke Li, Sia, Bob Dylan and The Cardigans. Yuna describes her music as "a cross between Mary Poppins and Coldplay".
One of the first few people who expressed interest in her music was Farhan Fadzlishah aka Pa'an (Telephony Delivery), who later became her supporting guitarist. Along the way, Efry Arwis (Lightcraft) helped her with the bass while Adib handled the drums. Adil Ali (Seven Collar T-shirt) replaced Adib after the latter quit to concentrate on his drumming role in Oh Chentaku.
Yuna was eventually discovered in the US by the Indie-Pop record label and management company. They flew out to Malaysia to convince her to sign with them and then proceeded to get her a deal with Fader Label, a record label based in New York, in February 2011. She released her debut US EP, Decorate - EP, in the United States in March the same year. In February 2012, Yuna released her second Malaysian full-length album, Terukir Di Bintang. Her self-titled US full-length album, Yuna, was released on April 24, 2012.

Bad idea, bad idea, bad idea!
99% is great, the other 1% I hate
Little things keep bugging at my head
Wake up calls Bad idea!
Smack and that Bad idea!
Friendly fire, GMTV
Darker mornings Bad idea!
And pay per view Bad idea!
Litter dropping Bad idea!
I made a list, I've got the lot, and all the stuff is all I'm taught
It's not fair, but I don't care not me
Rocky 5 Bad idea!
And indie shite Bad idea!
KKK Bad idea!
Number crunching, bungy jumping
Paying taxes Bad idea!
And Pavement cracks Bad idea!
Car alarms Bad idea!
Dinosaurs and protest songs are a bad idea!
Give me and be-A-D-I-D-E-AAAAAA
Bad idea!
In Yuna's song "Bad Idea," she speaks about things that nag at her mind and keep her from fully enjoying life. She expresses her dislike for certain events and situations that don't sit well with her and make her feel uneasy. The chorus repeats the words "bad idea," emphasizing how strongly she feels about these things.
The verses discuss her grievances with different things such as waking up, dealing with negative press, and witnessing litter dropping. She even goes as far as saying that "Dinosaurs and protest songs are a bad idea!" This lyric could be interpreted in many ways, but it seems like she's expressing her frustration with people who try too hard to make a point or cause a scene.
Overall, "Bad Idea" highlights how even though many aspects of life are beautiful, there will always be things that annoy and bother us. Yuna shows us that it's okay to acknowledge those negative feelings and express them, even if they seem trivial.
